Surprised you aren't ing about someone taking away your lighter or napalm thrower, tbh.
If they were killed with an evil gun it would be all you heard about or read about for months. They die in a fire, no big deal. Just people trying to get out and have a good time, and they are Brazilians anyhow.
Odd that no one really gives a about life, just about particular lives. SA210, where the are you? Why aren't you complaining about piss poor fire codes and enforcement?
Surprised you aren't ing about someone taking away your lighter or napalm thrower, tbh.
Nah, no one gives a because there's no political points to be made. Also, I've never, not once, complained that someone is going to take my guns.
this. americans have become gullible, pussified sons of es. i'm not taking it laying down, i still have my balls and they are huge. YOU HYPOCRITE LIBERALS, u u u.
RIP to these guys, sucks
Uh huh. Count the number of foreign policy threads that are not SA210 drone youtubes on this forum and get back to me. I used to try and discuss NA, ME, CA, SEA, etc issues but people in general are just not interested. Your asserting cause without basis. You do that a lot.
Waiting for the *** Official Fire in Brazil started by drones thread ***...
Were they vaccinated Brazilians? No one gives a rats ass about those types of Brazilians tbh.
You went on about a gun ban in Australia that happened decades ago based on a shooting that killed a fraction of the number of people killed in Brazil yesterday and yet you remained silent on this issue, now you are feeling guilty and I just exposed you. Feel a draft?
Did this have anything to do with the fact that Rio is built on an older city. I haven't looked into this, but I was talking to my dad yesterday and apparently the old city underneath Rio is somehow causing fireballs that are following the path of least resistance and blowing manholes out with fiery bursts.
It is still weird to me the idea of building a city ON TOP of another city. I just don't see how that works.
Most older cities are built on top of cities - Rome, Paris, London, etc.
I know that, I understand that it happens, it is just weird to me that buildings that were once on top of the ground are now under the ground. I am sure if I did some cursory research into it that it would all make sense, but I haven't so it is still unfathomable to me.
Well, it is the political forum.
If it needs to be said, I am in favor of strong, well-enforced Brazilian fire codes.
And even younger cities like Seattle and NYC. It most often happens in places that are prone to flooding.
As to the OP's point... what is it? If arson were responsible for as many intentional deaths as guns in this country, you might have a tenuous point; but it isn't, so it doesn't seem to me that you do.
Should theatrical pyrotechnics be more closely regulated in Brazil? Sure. When something like that happens in the States is there outrage? Yes, there is (remember the Great White club show that burned down a club that wasn't insulated up to code about 10 yrs ago?).
REd herring skirting the issue typical bull from you.
The point of my discussion was the effectiveness of the ban in relation to potential policies here in the states. Had there not been a link between the two countries then most people would not have been interested.
People by and large do not care about events outside of the US. That is the point here. That is why people do not care. If a fire like that happened here in the states then you would get a different reaction. As I said, you are misrepresenting cause and once again are skirting the issue rather than admit youre without a point.
I'm sure there's plenty of outrage over at the "Political Forum" of braziliannationalbasketballteamtalk.com
I'm assuming that this fire was an accident........sooooooo.......seems like that would be a good reason to not be outraged.
If it was arson, well then yeah, that sucks.
They are pretty pissed off in Brazil. They arrested the club owners and the band that started the fire.
Except the club was 2x the max occupancy, no exit signs on doors and their fire inspection certification was expired. Then reports say guards wouldn't let people leave for whatever stupid reason.
Accident or intentional, a lot of people are dead and not one of you tree huggers even raised in eyebrow. I didn't even see a dead baby pic.
It is a tragedy and many people died neeedlessly because some idiot club owner and his staff thought it would be a good idea to lock a crowd in a room with a fireworks display. They should be charged with with murder along with the band and anyone else who assisted with the ill-conceived fireworks display.
Happy now?
But people care about the gun ban in Australia. Ok got it.
I was happy before. I can point out a fact without needing to be unhappy about it.
Furthermore, there ought to be a world-wide ban on indoor fireworks. The same thing happened in Rhode Island about 10 years, and I believe dozens (if not hundreds) perished.
Suits me, then you could actually see the game at Boston.
this one time at a spurs game, the fireworks set off the sprinkler system.
