Wow, that's pretty neat.
SEC revenue set to jump 50% with playoff, new TV dealsthe Southeastern Conference is about two years from distributing at least $10 million -- and perhaps as much as $14 million -- more per school than it did during the 2011-12 fiscal yearThis would represent at least a 50% increase in the SEC's per-school take, which could get close to $34 million in 2014-15

Initial #s show $34 million annually for members of the conference.
Huh. So adding A&M did bring value to the SEC. Imagine that.
I am very curious to see if and how the O Bannon case affects payouts like this. If anyone deserves a big cut of this money, it's the athletes.
I doubt the payoffs would be affected at all. The product the TV networks are paying for doesn't change and what the schools have to do with the money isn't the TV networks' problem.
Adding two extra schools did.
Hey aggot, your football team is actually good for once. So the passive aggressive bragging about TV revenues is pretty dumb considering you have a Heisman to throw in people's faces.
did you even read the article? 10-15 mill more per season next year would def leapfrog big 12.
Do you seriously believe this?
Not bragging. Just posting the #s that so many posters have called for during the past year or so. Now that they are starting to come out nobody wants to comment. Remember the, "prove how much more money you are going to make by moving conferences" arguments being thrown around every single day.
So exactly how much more money will A&M make by moving conferences
Just factoring in new tv deal/network money. $10-14M more annually.
Of course there's other factors to take account of also. Like media exposure which has drastically gone up. http://www.kbtx.com/home/headlines/S...187465371.html
this is your own math, isn't it. You have no links to these numbers do you.
johnny would still have won the heisman had they been in the big 12, right?Of course there's other factors to take account of also. Like media exposure which has drastically gone up. http://www.kbtx.com/home/headlines/S...187465371.html
Aside from getting sisk moist, why are you trying to add dollars that don't belong?
SEC would have made a ton more money if they added UT instead of aggsy.
There is no doubt this was a good move for aggsy however Texas is still making more money, about 5 million more.
As for the SEC the schools that should be pissed are Alabama and Florida, both of those schools are about to lose a ton of money when their Tier 3 contracts get pulled and shoved into the SEC network. In the long run it might be a great idea, but for the short term, they will both lose a ton of money.
No.... this is the math of many professional sports analysts around the country who do this for a living....
I'm not talking about Texas. Everyone knows they make $ while everybody else in the conference bows down and kisses their shoes.
Oh cool. Link one so we can read it together.
you mean the way Tech kissed their shoes by telling the longhorn network to off not once, but twice?
....but perception is what it is. That's why aggy left.
