My only worry is if they tank to be 7th/8th since the Spurs are a lock for a top 3 seed (and they have a pretty cushy schedule post RRT).
they played out of their minds to make that run...they aren't capable of making that run again.
there's also the fact that Memphis can't get away with all the mugging they normally do in Oklahoma... you can't touch KD, Westbrook or KMart
Memphis is nowhere near elite anymore tbh. It's down to the good LA team, the Thunder, and the Spurs for the West this year. Memphis = done. They're a 5 game and out team right now.
I'd take GSW over them in 5 or 6.
They had a good game plan and it worked for them... the playoffs are a different beast

A healthy Golden State should be able to handle them... Memphis is also mediocre at 3 point defense, so Curry and Thompson should burn them from beyond the arc.

They are going to struggle offensively big time, it was already an issue before the trade it's getting worst since then. Their spacing is gonna suck. Like nono said they need time to welcome the newcomers but saying they are better off gay is wrong.

tbh, in hindsight, what killed that Memphis team from 8 was Battier's departure.

Chuck has a thing for Memphis because ZBo is a fat rebounder like him, tbh.
It's not just that the Grizz lost Gay. They were actually better with him last time when he was out with an injury. It's that their ballers can't ball anymore. Z-Bo hasn't been the same since injury. Surprise poor man's Z-Bo in Arthur also hasn't been the same since injury. Arthur pre-injury was actually pretty damn solid. And the rest of their bench -- Battier, Vasquez, Speights -- are gone. Now when Conley goes out, Bayless (lol) runs the offense.
They're definitely not scary anymore.
Yeah, I forgot they had Vasquez too, who's now beasting in NOLA.

Battier - just rang with Miami
Speights - playing well in Cleveland
