what's ed up is that the ass pastor felt the need to insult the waiter by mentioning god, by using that as an excuse to not tip. on top of that she had to write her le on that check. she shouldn't have written all that extra bull .Why didn't the pastor at least tip though? Waiters and waitresses just need to ing suck it up if they don't get a tip. If you didn't get a tip then tough on you, that's the risk of the job. Set goals or continue to achieve your goals so you can better the situation. I'm getting sick of the whining, "Boohoo I get paid ty and live off tips to pay for school." I got a homie who's a musician and makes beats and for people...(including famous rap artists) but anyway he told me that over the years the ones who always tried to over him where people from the church (pastors, deacons, servants) who wanted him to do record some beats...they would ask for the music and try to pay with all that prayer and church services offering bull ...He said the dope dealers (black and mexican) always paid no problem...He stopped ing with people from the churches

Older blacks respect hard work and feel the need to reward it. Older mexicans respect hardwork but are unwilling to sacrafice their own. Young black people don't give a about hard work and think they are en led to their money. Young mexicans don't respect hard work, but are ok leaving a good tip to impress their .

There's something that says "cardholder agrees to pay total". Do you have an expectation of privacy in a public place? When you leave a public comment? I could see Applebees having a case for suing the girl because it was their private property that was displayed (the receipt). I am very obviously not a lawyer, but am just thinking out loud.

I don't know you from anyone else, and you may have gotten all you say by out competing all others (of all races). I will say, though, that the only time in my life that I really felt burned by the idea of affirmative action was when I took the PSATs. I scored a 202. As I was looking at my score it listed the required score to be awarded national merit scholar. It had 3 different categories "white/asian = 204", "Hispanic = 162", "African American = 127". I was freaking pissed (it was also my first encounter with dividing races). National merit scholar (at the time) was pretty much a full ride to many colleges so it was a pretty big deal to me. I ended up getting a free ride to the college of my choice (which I subsequently turned down, but that is another story, suffice to say I wasn't as smart as my PSATs said I was), so I guess it worked out, but at that moment in time, I didn't know that so I don't think that I will ever forget that moment.

I hear ya, I hear ya that does suck. Then I think about the quality of education between the races. The urban schools lack funds to provide current books, equipment, ect. It's a much higher hump to get over along with living in poverty. Students working nights to put food on the table makes it quite difficult to get that study time in.
Even with all that, blacks are still the least to benefit from affirmative action.
