i was a fan of his from his 'comeback season' mixtape.
when i found out about degrassi it didn't make me look at him any different.
so what if he was an actor? so was childish gambino.
dr. dre got clowned for wearing heels and makeup before joining NWA, but at the end of the day all that matters is putting out good music.
yea, the main criticism i'm seeing right now is the flow.

Honestly the new track is pretty goddam ty. I'm willing to give Drake the benefit of the doubt until the rest of the tracks surface but that's about it.

is he weak because he raps about his past relationships?
everybody wants to act hard and pretend they're something they're not and that's what i appreciate about drake. he's real.
i can relate with all of his music. i think people hate drake because its the "in" thing to do.
but to answer your question, yes he was ing her.
he mentioned her in a couple songs. if you listen to "miss me" he says "someone tell maliah i'm on fire, she should work tonight..."
he even threw a shot at her in this song:
