And if the brace is that effective, we should just put Manu in a full body brace outfit.

I'd just hold Tim Duncan out until after the All-Star Break. That'd give him a 17-day break between games. I know there's no structural damage but you gotta think a knee bending like that would make it more susceptible to injury in the short-term.

Let him rest that thing, try to get out of the All-Star weekend and then begin the second half push after the break. IMO, at least.
    Seconded.

    He'd miss:

    @ Minnesota
    @ Detroit
    @ Brooklyn
    @ Chicago
    @ Cleveland

We could lose all of those games and I'd still take healthy Timmy Duncan over them.

2-3 with a rested TD and a favorable second half schedule? That sounds like a good plan to me, fwiw.

Alhamdulillaah, Subhanallaah, Allah blesses Tim Duncan !

Maybe he'll play 5 minutes in the All-Star game then. Just to get him in the box score and maybe a bucket and a rebound or two.
NO ! Just big in NO ! Let Stephen Curry or anybody else play, TD's beyond such thing, let him heal & rest.

Even without Tim they should go 3-2 or 4-1 in that stretch of games.

In related news, Stern has also fined Duncan $250,000 for flopping.

The Spurs would be a very good 40-13 in that stretch.

Well with a a knee sprain and a ankle I would hold him out for two weeks. Any word on Baynes injury?

I woke up this morning expecting the worst. I even consulted my Physiotherapist fiancee and showed her the footage and told her to expect a grown man crying in the morning if it was an ACL..

    Instead, this.

    GREAT news

    Great news.

LOL, I usually use a pair of them for hiking, and they're great for my knees. They do restrict motion though, so not sure about using them in basketball (then again, I didn't buy the high end someone like Tim is going to be using).
i've heard they are restrictive. i'm sure that applies to even the highest quality braces. i'm thinkin of getting a brace or 2 for my hoopin. on a no flash team like the spurs, why not braces for every big? team mandate?

this is even more of a blessing in that it's an opportunity for baynes to get more minutes if his injury is minor. i still think blair is too short ineffective against real bigs. let the trade speculation continue...

    draymond green from the warriors?

I'd agree with you, except for the fact that I want all those Warriors fans on Twitter whose first reaction to the potentially ?devastating? injury (thankfully not) was to be happy that it freed up a spot for Curry in the All Star Game. Curry's been great, but the West is simply just too deep this year.

    Awesome news.

Seriously. That brace is something else.

It will be interesting to see what the Spurs do with him in terms of rest.

Couldn't agree more. Thankfully, if there's any coach out there that's overly concerned about health enough to do it, it's
