Take the following players and reimagine their careers if their own long arms were replaced with JJ Barea's little t-rex arms. They still have the same skills & athletic ability, just really tiny arms. Who would still be successful, who would suck, etc...

    Bill Russell
    Tim Duncan
    Michael Jordan
    Shaq
    LeBron James
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Serge Ibaka
    Kevin Durant
    Dr J
    Hakeem Olajuwon

Even with T-rex arms, Duncan is still the classiest player in the game. And that's all that matters in life.

Probably still taller/longer than the honkies. He'd be fine. Except in matchups against chamberlain, where he'd be destroyed on the boards.

    Tim Duncan
Wouldn't be a shotblocker, but his arsenal of moves on offense and savvy defensive play would still make him an effective force.

    Michael Jordan
I wonder if shorter arms would have significantly hurt his midrange game. Probably. He'd have adapted to it though.

    Shaq
big enough that it wouldn't matter how long his arms were. He was just a bulldozer

    LeBron James
Defense would suffer, but he'd still drive to the hoop and throw down that same right handed tomahawk 3 times/game

    Dirk Nowitzki
I think Dirk would be able to manage. His footwork, flamingo jumpshot, etc would still be effective

    Serge Ibaka
Would not be a shotblocker, and would not have a career

    Kevin Durant
Would not have a career. Relies on long-ass arms to shoot the ball over the head of virtually everyone on the floor.

    Dr J
    No idea

    Hakeem Olajuwon
    Same outcome as Tim probably.

None of the players would be as good if they had shorter arms, but all would still be stars in the NBA except for KD and Ibaka

durant can play SG and still hit them shots even w/ short arms, and his body length will pretty much make up for it, the same applies to dirk. shaq would still be a beast in the paint using his strength but his dominance would be gone due to the limited wingspan, would be a glorified porkins and all. the rest would suck and become average-mediocre players imho

Russell would still be an NBA player, and he could still have 11 rings with his stacked supporting casts, but he would not have the same mystique or nearly the same dominance..he would be a role player..

Duncan would not be an All-Star player..his length has negated the lack of athleticism and has allowed him to get clean shots over any defender..he would still be a great role player in the NBA with his height, footwork and IQ..

Jordan would still be a star, but part of his ability was due to his massive hands, tbh..

Shaq and Lebron wouldn't be as affected..they would still have their size and athleticism..

    Dirk would be Ryan Anderson..

Ibaka would be living in a hut made out of branches and grass with his starving family of 25..

Durant would be a star in Europe..his freakishly long arms allow him to draw most of his fouls, tbh..he would still have grotesque pimples and sores on his face, tbh..

Dr. J and Hakeem would still be star players(like a Blake Griffin)..

Untrue, it's either lying dead in the local conflict or being a boss rich with blood diamond money.
