Nothing has been impressive about the Lakers' recent play to suggest they'll make any noise in the playoffs if they sneak in. Their "defense" has been more about the other team missing wide open shots and gimmies than anything else. The Lakers have zero depth, even when completely healthy. Clark will the bed in the playoffs (if they get there), Nash will wear down, Dwight's health is a big question mark, and Gasol, if he's still a Laker, will remember he's a woman.

We're also seeing a lot of pre-All Star break malaise from many teams, while the Lakers, backs against the wall, are in game 7 mode each every night they play.
