On Saturday ESPN analyst Jalen Rose was in Bloomington for College GameDay, ahead of No. 3 Indiana beating No. 1 Michigan. On Sunday, he was in New Orleans for the network's Super Bowl festivities. In between he washed away his sorrows at watering hole Kilroy's Sports, as well as at some random dudes' house.
Rose's adventures were chronicled on Reddit by a handful of students who were there, but, perhaps wary of narcing him out so he never comes back, a user's account of Rose holding court was swiftly deleted. Lost Lettermen grabbed it in time:
• "He seemed fairly confident that MJ was hungover in Game 5 of the '97 Finals and didn't actually have the flu"
• On Reggie Miller's house burning down in 1997: "He is SURE [ex-wife] Marita Miller burned down Reggie's house"
• "Joked how he couldn't smoke weed because ‘man I work for Disney!! You don't think they drug test us?' "
• "He kept asking how the you work a bong and after getting chirped for it, he goes ‘PLEASE. black people only use pipes if they're smoking crack' "
• "He claimed he could hit 17 of 20 3s RIGHT THEN AND THERE, everyone howled and said no way, he just laughed and kept yelling ‘f*** ya'll f*** ya'll' "
• "5am rolls around and he gets asked what time his flight is to leave for New Orleans – ‘oh I dunno….about 2 and a half hours' "
• On Jamaal Tinsley: ‘The dude drank vodka more often than water…AND I let him live with me! For a MONTH!'"
Jalen Rose and Jalen Rose's College GameDay windbreaker are national treasures, and should be preserved in the Smithsonian once the stains are steam-cleaned out.

The "flu game" started at 9:00 EST. Local game time was 8pm. If Jordan had a hangover from the day before, it must have been aciously bad to affect him all the way to the game's conclusion around 11pm and still need to have him carried off the court. For it to be that bad, dude must have had a Jaeger IV drip the night before, and if that's the case, well , it makes his game all the more impressive. When I drink that much I am absolutely useless the next day, a Jabba the Hutt level of invalidity.

Mitc said the logistics of the story were laughable.
"Now think about that. Vince Carter, who you couldn't make go to the weight room, picked me up over his head, spun me around like I was a pizza, like some dough on a pizza platter, and then slammed me," the former Raptors coach said.
Mitc went on to provide his version of the story.
"Morris Peterson was lying on the training table. He got hurt in practice - like, slightly pulled his hamstring. I went down to the training room, where all the players were after practice getting treatment. I was talking to Mo, Vince came up behind me and put me in a bear hug, and I stumbled and fell on one of the training tables.
"He starts laughing and saying, 'Coach, I got you, I got you.' And I said, 'Yeah, Vince, you got me.' And the players started laughing, and that was it."
Mitc was then asked how Rose's story evolved from a bear hug into a tale of an all-out brawl. He was quick to question Rose's credibility.
"Consider the source. You know what blows my mind? And I don't attack people because I try to take the high road, but consider where it's coming from," Mitc pointed out. "Where in this person's history are the things that he said true? You are talking about a person who played at a university whose record has been expunged. And for what? Lying and cheating. Right?
"You spent your entire career in the NBA making a lot of money, but you never quite lived up to your potential as a player," Mitc said of Rose. "Now you're on TV and you get to say these things. First of all, we need to stop believing that everybody on TV is credible and (that) everybody you hear in the media is credible."
He's one of the tiest analysts in sports..he's also a terrible speaker, tbh..
The guy still had a gambling addiction, so it wouldn't shock me if he actually did do something stupid like get faced before a Finals game.
