I can see why most americans wouldn't like soccer, first they suck at it no matter how hard they try

Only one commercial break, so no chance to watch ty car and fast food commercials every 2 minutes

Steroid use is not a rampant problem (besides the midget messi case of course)

Players are rewarded for having real skill and not an history of drug abuse

Baseball and hockey are funny only when brawls happens. I never had patience enough to watch football. I think soccer is boring, but I have simpathy because it's a democratic sport. Where some physically undeveloped or mentally challenged kid from the third world can succeed and get millionaire? Only playing soccer. But again, I don't watch that .

Soccer is the most popular worldwide sport b/c it's the cheapest to play. All you need is a ing ball... , south of the border all you need is a severed human head and voila!--soccer.

And thank God for that, if the sport was expensive to play we would probably miss on a lot of all time greats tbh.

I think soccer isn't popular just because it's cheap, but because it's easy to play. Even a typical white american potato couch can run after the ball if his breath and fatness let him run some meters.

you watch too much NJ and Boston

the scrums and fights are the equivalent of monkeyballing

watch a real hockey team like Detroit play hockey
When's the last time Detroit won the cup, and the last time Boston won it? Heyo!

that wasn't even my argument but.....

    4 vs 1 the past 15 years

    11 vs 6 all time

    so...

I'll give you guys credit for shutting up the Nuckleheads in '11

So the answer is, Boston has won it more recently. Thanks for playing!

in all seriousness though, I'm jealous of the Wings front office. They sure knew how to pick players. I'll probably try to catch a Wings/Blues game now that I'm in the St Louis area

The real question is which team has longest drought between 2 stanley cups?

    Bruins or Red Wings?

By the way, I have the feeling the Habs are gonna catch the Leafs at this rate

And that argument doesn't make sense when ice hockey is pretty popular among eastern european countries and baseball the same in parts of Asia and Latin America, regions of the globe not exactly known for their economic stability and both sports require some equipment way more expensive than a simple soccer ball.

Most people outside the US couldn't give two s about american football, simple as that.

This whole thing seems fake and insincere if you ask me. It's like Kobe only said that as a way to be cool or hip with the kids and gay rights groups. Let's be honest. What percentage of active players say , , mother er, sucker, and the n-word on the court when they're playing a game?
