I'd rather they wear NOTHING that is form fitting.
When they get that big, everything is form fitting.

That uniform overall is crazy ugly. Wtf were they thinking?? It looks pretty cool when they wear the sleeves under the jersey but its doesn't look right like that.

Nawh I don't like it. If the players can wear it and I can't, I don't want it. I can't squeeze my 582 LB bod into that. I would think, the sight of me in one wouldn't be to pleasant to the public.

NBA/Adidas isn't interested on how players look with these jerseys. They are interested in how many of these they will sell. The classic sleeveless basketball jersey isn't that easy to wear outside of games (even over a t-shirt). These short sleeve jersey are more suited to be worn by fans in their daily life.

I'd rather those fans wear sleeves tbh.
most fans wear a T-Shirt under their jerseys anyway because of obvious physical limitations, don't they?

With the intent to put advertisement on jersey's this actually gives them more surface area to put more logos. I hate seeing corporate logos on jerseys but that could be behind the sleeved version.

As far as SA fans having more surface area in general underneath the shirt - well, it's a stretch fabric...

As a fan I would wear it, but for the game it's really not needed.

I think they'll look better in black and silver than in mus , and I would probably buy a Spurs version. For casual wear, though, I would definitely want a looser cut. I have running shirts with a similar cut, but I save the compression wear for training and racing. And for that I'd actually like a long-sleeve version. There's not much reason for running shirts--or basketball shirts--with sleeves. If it's cool enough for sleeves, I want long sleeves.

Thoughts? Fail. Fans won't buy them because almost no fans are built like that.

Wrong. Fans will most definitely buy them, and that's why this new jersey exists. Women especially will be more comfortable wearing a jersey which isn't sleeveless and doesn't need an undershirt (which looks odd anyway). If it hides the fat rolls of the obese, you better believe it will sell.

For basketball players...I have no idea. For runners, it eliminates nipple chafing on long runs. For me, it's pretty much a winter thing, though. I have some really warm compression base layers that I love. In the summer, though, there's not much point; I just run shirtless. But that isn't suitable for everyone.
