I was about to rip on you for not using the search before opening this thread until I just did it and realized there were 2 Five Guys threads before mine. whoopsWas I tripping or is this place the most overrated landfill of a restaurant? The burgers were about an inch in diameter and pretty average, I would've enjoyed them if they didn't cost $5. The fries......were the biggest ing joke I've ever tasted. They give you a big mound of salty mess that tastes like plain potato sprinkled with salt. I'd take reheated microwaved fries from anywhere else over those cause they'd be half the price and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway. I was super bummed out cause all I've heard is that this place along side In-N-Out are supposed to be another tier of burger places, ing bull

told the paper the man was not heavy, weighing about 180 pounds, and may have had a genetic predisposition to cardiac problems because both his parents died from heart attacks in their 50s.
The death comes about a year after a man suffered a heart attack while eating one of the restaurant’s 6,000-calorie “Triple Bypass Burgers.” Last February, patrons thought they were witnessing a publicity stunt for the restaurant that says it has a “Taste Worth Dying For” and took out their cell phone cameras, but were ultimately seeing a patron around his 40s having a cardiac episode being wheeled out by paramedics. I only ate there one time, and it was in Miami Beach. It was pretty good. They gave a ton of fries too.

Been about 5, 6 times. Always like that the food is hot! Can't say the same about in and out burger.
??? I've been to In N Out a lot, never gotten cold food a single time at a single restaurant. It takes ~10 minutes to get the order because they always make it separately, but that's not such a bad thing.
5 Guys is pretty good. It's also insanely overpriced. $~5.50 for a bacon cheeseburger + $3 for fries + $2.50 for a drink = ~$11+ after tax. All for a burger that's, at best, as good or slightly better than In N Out and at worst, not even as good.
Only been to in and out once. Cheeseburger was warm, not hot. Your right about 5 guys being pricey. But I like the consistancy, as far as hot food. Plus I like that you get plenty of extra fries.
who cares about the temp when the burger's only an inch in diameter and the fries are just a big pile of mushy potato drenched in salt
The peanuts were good but the burgers are bland and the fries just arnt very good.
I had the same reaction as CubanSucks the one and only time I've had Five Guys. It's overpriced as , the burger comes out overcooked, it's a in small burger for $5.50 and it simply isn't very good. People love the fries cause they're served in a creative way but their fries make In-n-Out fries good which is saying something.

I wasn't that impressed with In and Out Burger. Kind of disappointed after all the hype I've seen them get.

If I want a top notch burger, I hit up Chris Madrids and call it faw in day.
But Cheesy Janes has that Banana/Chocolate Milkshake, FTMFW.
Agree, but 5 guys is pretty good for fast food imo. I consider Chris Madrids, more of a sit down burger joint. Haven't been there in awhile, but I always thought Chris Madrids was the best in S.A..
