They are quite bad. Missed the Bulls-Spurs game so watching the game now, with Bulls commentators. And 5 minutes into the game have come up with gems such as.

"Tom Thibodeau definitely should've won it (CoY) last year", "He should've won it three years in a row" and "If the Bulls keep playing as they currently are he will win it this year."

"And good job by the Chicago defense making the Spurs make the extra pass", when that's exactly what the Spurs offense is about.

Always nice to have thoughts of non-Spurs fans on the Spurs playing

They were bad, but nothing compares to the Cavs commentators.. My ears were bleeding by the end of that game.

I missed that one too, but I don't feel the need to watch it considering how well (or otherwise) we played.

Cracks me up how the commentators think Thibs is amazing because he deals with his players getting injured, but conveniently forget that he causes them to get injured but running his players into the ground by playing them 40 minutes a night.

Boston's are the worst kind of homers, but funny at times as they complain.

You still got to watch it! Watching the spurs play is a work of art, beautiful! If I can't watch a game live I watch it the next day, I have to watch every single game!

Agree, watched it late the other night and was yawning so hard I almost got lock jaw. They're about as bad as that Americus Diamond guy only they're two of them. Much rather listen to Monaco and Shawn E. anyday.

Yep. We can make the stupidest mistakes out there, and Sean is right there praising it. Bill Land I can take, but Sean Elliott really takes the homer cake.

Sean Elliott: "Oh, Look at that pass that our guys threw out of bounds. That's a hall of fame turn over right there."

I think that was in this game that the commentators said that Kawhi didn't had any outside shoot last season, that he was only a slasher...

the thing that gets me about sean is how he always says "i like the effort!" after every failure no matter how comical

for example: kawhi shoots a three, rims it, gets a pass, shoots another three, airballs it.
sean: "that's okay I like the effort!"

it's like getting constant Good Job, Good Efforts from your own commentator

Hahaha, exactly. Thats why i will watch the FSN broadcast instead of the ESPN or TNT broadcasts if they are being dual broadcasted. We can do no wrong in Seans eyes lol

Yeah, Sean is too much of a homer for my liking but it's more bearable than some other commentators.

And yeah, the Bulls commentators said Leonard couldn't even make an 18-footer jumper last season...

I was thinking the same thing about the Bulls announcers. They were pretty bad, especially Stacy King. One of my favorites was "the Spurs prefer to play in a half-court game"....yeah, that was a few years ago. They now prefer an uptempo game but are capable of playing in the half-court. Lesseeee, oh yeah "The Bulls and Spurs are mirror images of each other." Really? The Bulls wish their record was a mirror image of the Spurs.

While we're at it: Bill Schoening is downright un-listenable.

Parker makes a 3: Trey Bien!

    Ginobili makes a 3: It's a Manu Tres!

Leonard makes a 3: Khwai Not!

Neal makes a 3: His spot, his shot! (I think that's what he says for Neal but not 100%)

The other night Diaw made a bank shot and Schoening says "Diaw with the French kiss off the glass".

    Just brutal.

And those things get me pumped if I'm listening on the radio; just like Bill Land's "Oh Mama!" Gets me jacked when I'm watching the FSSW feed.

Every team's announcer is a homer.

Agreed that the Bulls announcers are not the worst homers, but what got me was them saying over and over again that the Spurs are just like the Bulls in how unselfish they play, as if the Spurs copied the Bulls recently or something.

They have always been the worst

When LEbron was there, they would always yell " The KING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

    And then Lebron left

    And they cried

I'm sure Bill Land's "OH MAMA!" may irritate other fans. Of course it doesn't bother us though because we root for the same team.

I like Sean too and he does have a lot of moments where he's being fair, but he does annoy me other times too.

Agreed. It's easy to shrug off homerism when it comes in favor of your team. But I'm pretty sure that many other fans grumble about the Spurs broadcasters in the same way that we grumble about theirs. And it's probably warranted and justified.

Still, that moron that did the color commentary for Cleveland was atrocious.
