He picked 5 retired players. Politically correct.
Durant was asked by the media in Houston who his all time team is...
PG. Magic
SG. MJ
SF. Bird
PF. Barkley
C. Shaq
He picked 5 retired players. Politically correct.
No. The ? "who his all time top 5 was?". Politically correct.
I saw the question. He could have included someone from the group of Kobe, LeBron, Duncan, or Dirk, but he made up his team with retired players to avoid having to explain why he included one and not the other.
Politically correct.
Even though Durant admitted to stat padding, almost no one would name a current player that they might see in the playfoffs as their all time.
If you saw the ? then you'd know he wasnt asked for just his "team of retired players" to avoid explaining or not. PC!
I have no idea what you're going on about.
Your asking me that? Ha.
Or anyone else that has any clue what you're going on about.
Barkley is probably #2 all-time at the PF spot, along with McHale, Dirk and Garnett.
Also, Durant could count Duncan as a C, to which having Shaq over Duncan is not all that big of a stretch.
Bruh, reading comprehension. I don't think you understand.
Either you have a clear bias against Elbows Malone or you just forgot.
That's what I was thinking, though Mel makes a good point about all players being retired, as well. Barkley being a popular commentator doesn't hurt things, either. Not that KD is trying to hype himself through Barkley, but he may be thinking it's good for some laughs/jokes/discussion on TNT or w/e.
Also, Malone is #2 PFOAT without a doubt in my mind. Dirk and KG are neck and neck for #3. Dirk proved he could do it all by his lonesome but KG's defense and athleticism are miles ahead. I'd need to hear a great argument for McHale to even consider him, tbh. The main thing he has going for him is being on the same team as Larry Legend.
Obviously he didnt want to take guy, who is still playing....
Looks like bulletin board material for the WCF to me. I want KD to disrespect Duncan as much as possible between now and then.
I hope you are joking.
.... Why?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Tim Duncan doesn't give a flying about KD's top 5.
Malone is one of the most overrated player of all time, and one that I couldn't quite understand as most overrated players from from either NY or LA.
He was a great pick and roll player, nice defensive player, but if you were to put Dirk, Garnett or Barkley along with Stockton, they would have averaged 30ppg as well. The Jazz, in particular, would have been absolutely unstoppable with Dirk in place of Malone in the mid to late 90s, they wouldn't put up 59 points in a finals game even against the staunch perimeter defense of the Bulls.
Dirk and Barkley were both better creators on offense, more skillful, and Garnett is much better on defense, while comparable on offense. The Jazz were a good team back in the day because of Stockton, not Malone.
Looking at advanced stats, Malone, despite his team being a perennial le contender, Malone had a career best win share of 16.7. Barkley have two of those seasons, Dirk's peak was 17.7, Garnett's peak was 18.3, Duncan 17.8.
As for McHale, I have to admit it was a homer pick, but McHale could create better, had insane low post game, and his defense was very underrated. Bird was great, but McHale was no slouch either.
I don't give two s about what the guy guarding me at my gym thinks, but if he starts talking , I'm going to do what I can to shut him up. Remember the smack KG used to talk to Tim? He's a compe or, and it fired him up. He may not care about KD's top 5 but he sure as would have fun sending those whiny, self-en led OKC morons home to their meth labs early.
TP did have words for Westbrook and thats not like him.
Let it all out buddy
