That's what Mitch Bryant gets for replacing Bynum with Howard![]()

Kobe not naming names, but ... "After we lose by 20 or 30 points, we definitely can’t be laughing and joking around"
Kobe boasted about how he bonded with Bynum last All-Star. Same case with Dwight? Kobe: "I don't ...
"I don’t know how much more we need to strengthen it really," Bryant said of his relationship with Dwight Howard. "I think it’s where it should be. The communication that I have with him is about execution and about what he needs to do on the court. That’s where it’s going to stay."

What does Kobe want his teammates to focus on during the All-Star break? "Just focus on how bad you want it and how important this is"

Kobe's right. Dwight's a clown and a huge got.
Most overrated player of the decade.
Kirbs and Coward are taking a private jet to Houston for the ASG and Venessa will be on the plane. All you need to know about Kirby, if he isn't raping women he is using them as human shields.
damn, going balls deep and throwing the KY into the trash can where it belongs tbh.
As much as i hate Kobe, Dwight's a got.
If he had any sort of leadrship qualities in him, kobe would probably pass the ball. Just look at MWP...
Dude had six turnovers and is calling out teammates after the game.
What a ing .
Sort of agree with Kobe on this one if the quote was simply looked at in a vacuum. Howard joking and mouthing off in a blow out loss is not cool at all, he should be more serious about the job and take losing a lot more seriously.
On the other hand, Kobe should lead his team to victories to avoid clowns clowning around in losses.
Howard has certainly been doing a lot to lower his chances at getting some monster contract.
One thing appears to be sure, he isn't going to remain a Laker.
I still would really like for the Mavs to land him and hopefully Carlisle can maximize his game.
I just think that Howard doesn't give a anymore. Everybody knew before he came to L.A. that he likes to smile, laugh, joke around, etc....like Nash, he just wants to "have fun".
For a while, he put on a show and played it all serious for the media, but now that it's becoming more apparent that this season is going nowhere, he's going right back to DGAF mode.
Probably wrong in both cases.Regardless of how he plays or what happens barring a serious injury, he is getting paid the max where ever he wants to go (assuming the team has the requisite cap space). The only way that won't happen is if he personally decides to leave money on the table for some reason.
Then when you factor in he would be leaving approx 30M on the table by not signing with LA, odds are he ends up in LA unless they decide to trade him.
had 8 the game before..
Why should Dwight care about a team, player, and fanbase that's done nothing but scapegoat him all year? As soon as they got done scapegoating their coaches, that is. At what point does a person who's shouldering all the blame (while injured no less) just emotionally check out from a ridiculous situation that he's been put into?

also that CP3 gif in your sig is yet another priceless example of his madeness![]()
I don't see Howard turning down an extra $30 million with the concerns about his shoulder. Kinda funny that his professional career so far has peaked at 23 with that series against Cleveland. He's fallen so far that I think it would be an extreme risk to sign him considering how much it would cost.
While I understand Kobe's frusrtration, and I see how many on this forum agree that Howard smiling after the game shouldn't happen, I don't quite agree.
What matters is the 48 minutes during the game. I truly believe that Howard is playing as good as he can right now given the situation...the situation being that he is:
A) Coming off a back surgery which for many big men is like the kiss of death to a career. He will never be the same player as he was before...people just need to accept that.
B) Playing in a system where he isn't used correctly. D'antoni=enough said.
C) Still putting up very solid numbers, especially in lieu of A and B
D) Just because Kobe handles things the way he does after a loss doesn't mean that everybody else has to do the same. Make no mistake, I have ZERO love for Howard, but truth be told, I do not equate frowning, and pissing and moaning with a more "compe ive" person. Allow me digress...we always hear that KG is SO much of a compe or, most in part to his "passion" for the game. There is NO way for one minute that I think Timmy is any less of a compe or...he just doesn't show it the same way. Same with Kawhi. Both Timmy and Leonard are poker faced, cold-blooded assassins.
*Just my opinion

Dude, top 10 center is pretty tough to crack, given that 5 or 6 spots of the top 10 all time are centers.
KAJ
Wilt
Russell
Hakeem
Shaq
Malone
Robinson
Walton
Mikan
are pretty much locks for the top 10, that only leaves 1 more spot out of guys like Thurmond, Willis Reed, Wes Unseld, Ewing, Mourning, and Gilmore, it's a tough field to crack.
Dwight has always been like this. Melo is the same damn way, unless he's changed this year (don't get to watch too many NY games). There is nothing wrong with 'smiling' but when you just had your ass handed to you, you probably want to cut the joking around. Don't usually agree with Kobe but he's on the money with this. LBJ cut back on his joking, dancing and other shenanigans that he used to do and it got him a le. You're getting paid to win, not have fun.
that. If he's not going to be properly utilized, if he's not going to have a chance to play in a way that allows him to have ANY impact on the outcome of the game, why should he give a about Kobe's legacy? Since clearly that's the ONLY thing that LA has been concerned about since Shaq left. The Lakers hired the worst post-player coach in the history of the modern era and now they're blaming their post-up players for not producing. GMAFB.
This has nothing to do with proper utilization or Kobe's legacy. Dwight pulled the same in Orlando. Laughing it up when Boston anally raped them in 2010. Oh that's right, that was Van Gundy's bad. Poor Dwight, never gets a chance.
