    http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocket...at-75-percent/

Lakers star center Dwight Howard managed to show off his arrogance (or supreme confidence if you want to be nice) and insult all of the NBA’s centers with one statement.“I’m the best center in the league, even at 75 percent (healthy),” he said at Friday’s NBA All-Star Game media day.
Howard has been battling with injuries in his first season with the Lakers. He is averaging 16.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in his 48 games with the Lakers.
Despite a star-studded roster that includes Howard, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Pau Gasol, the Lakers have a record of 25-29 at the break. Many believe the struggling team could make a move as the trade deadline nears, however, the Lakers have told Howard that they will not trade him before the Feb. 21 deadline.
“I’m not talking about my future,” he said on Friday.
When asked about what it’s like playing for the Lakers, Howard said, “it’s getting better.”

If you don't consider Duncan a center and take a healthy Bynum out of the equation, I guess he is by default, which isn't really much of a feat considering the lack of quality bigs in the league. Some might reference Brook Lopez, but he can't rebound worth a .

Honestly, when I read that quote by Howard I feel that he thinks that his value is dropping and wants to remind everyone that he's still the best. When did this guy go from my favorite non-Laker player to the NBA's version of Terrell Owens? in bad luck this year

Bible has been 100% healthy already. He's just being exposed after being the best monkeyballer from PEDOrlando. Even DeAndre has more offensive moves than him.

As far as his back goes, I believe that. I don't think Howard is still "recovering" from back surgery, but I do believe the surgery has permanently affected his athleticism.

Seems like agent Fu Manchu succesfully infiltrated Howard's entourage.

people shouldn't forget what he beast he was before the back surgery. he can still be an elite big when he's fully healed, even at a discount of his pre-injury self. just pissed he has been made the scapegoat by kobe & other teammates tbh

Only guys that could realistically be called best center right now are those defensive minded guys like Chandler, Noah, Gasol. Maybe Brook Lopez. Dwight's statement not so much of a shock

Would the Lakers trade Dwight for Duncan? Would the Spurs accept Dwight?

Honestly, that's not really saying much. Howard just wants attention and All Star weekend has become his weekend to jackass-it up like normal.
