Walt is Heisenberg the entire time
I think I'm on my 10th or 12th time going through the whole series again. It gets so much better after repeated watches. Just the best television show to air and that wait to July has been .
Walt is Heisenberg the entire time
Season 3 of BB is the best SEASON of television I've ever seen.
im on the fly episode as we speak
genius lol
Those last 2-3 episodes of season 4 are the best episodes in the series. , season 4 > 3. Every ending in that season is like a season cliffhanger. Just amazing suspense. The way 5 is shaping up, I can't think of a show that got better and better after each season.
I miss it.. Isn't this the last season?
Crawl Space, End Times, and Face Off make Season 4 the best season without a doubt.
Second to last ep of season 3: a inballstothawallawesome.
One of the single best hours of television ever produced.
I really hope you're kidding. Either I'm out of the loop or yall are ing re ed.
The ONE stain of an episode in what would be a perfect show
Not at all kidding.
Or it could just be that we have different personal tastes/preferences and, therefore, value different things.
Agree to disagree. I am in general a huge fan of dialog and character development and "Fly" has both in spades. It's beautifully written, beautifully acted, and contains a tremendous amount of information about who Walt and Jesse are as characters and the nature of their relationship. Not a lot of stuff happens, I guess, but I don't care much about stuff happening if I get to watch interesting characters have interesting conversations.
and so does almost every other episode
you didn't have higher expectations going into that episode? You must see how you're coming across as a little pretentious here. Everyone I know who watches this show feels the same way I do. In a series this brilliant this episode is a ing Saturday morning cartoon of them in the lab the entire time, shenanigans ensue. I'm honestly convinced that they filmed this ep just to fill time and/or because Cranston and Paul were some of the only actors conveniently available to shoot for it, an episode thrown together because there was a glitch in the scheduling process somewhere along the line
I love the episode. I thought it was great with how open Walt was with Jesse on the moment he should have just gave up the business and so close to telling Jesse the truth about Jane. You see nearly every shade of Walt in that episode. From hysterical to neurotic to that small slither of caring he had left. It's funny because on the commentary, it's one of Vince Gillian and the cast favorite episodes. But they did mention that doing the episode in a small space worked out for the better for the crew because they were way over budget for the season.
They do, indeed. It's why I'm such a huge fan of the show. I just happen to think both are at a particularly high level in this episode.
It's okay if you don't, though. We don't have to like the same things.
Not sure what you're asking.
I have high expectations of every episode of "Breaking Bad" based on the amount of respect I have for the series in general and its consistently high quality. This episode, in my opinion, met them easily.
Because I like something you didn't?
I could say the same thing, as most of the people I know who are fans of the show are just as fond of the episode as I am. In either case it means next to nothing as personal taste is wholly non-objective and has nothing to do with inherent quality.
It's a bottle episode. Most TV shows have at least one per season because they're cheaper and quicker to produce than a normal episode featuring numerous locations and actors.
I think the dismissal of the episode as laboratory shenanigans does the writing a huge disservice, however, and is based on a rather superficial reading of the episode. The tone of the episode quite cleverly switches between slapstick and seriousness almost too quickly to even see it happening, so that the latter half of the episode and Walt's near confession to Jesse feel that much more tense after what was set up as a silly romp. Furthermore, the use of the fly/contaminant to illuminate the relationship between Walt and Jesse is incredibly complex. To say you didn't like the episode is one thing. It's not everyone's cup of tea; it's slow moving, it's thin on plot, it's a bit heavy handed in its symbolism etc. But to call the episode nothing more than cartoonish hijinks? Well... pretentious as it may be, that just leads me to assume you didn't get it.
My God, you're a moron.

Anna Gunn (Skylar) reveals in a recent interview that a prominent character takes the bullet before the series finale. I think it's Saul.

liking it isn't a big deal to me, but calling one of the best episodes?...wtf
Fly was a terrible episode. How much more predictable could you get then "Walter's so on edge this miniscule fly pushes him over!"??? CubanSucks is usually full of , but he's right-on with the synopsis of that piece of crap. I watched it expecting the writers to do something worthwhile even though the premise was boring as from the start, but no surprises whatsoever. I'd rather watch back to back to back episodes of Storage Wars or Intervention or whatever other piece of crap is on TV over having to see that worthless Fly episode ever again. Love the rest of the series though, and hope it's Walt Jr or the baby that gets murked.
I bet Hank is the one to be killed though, since he knows Walt = Heisenberg and since it would clean a lot of things up.
Just 5 more months. Till then, I'm just rewatching the series on NetFlix. How did Skyler get so fat? She was thin as in Season 1.
you and cubansucks are known for being dumbasses, so its not a shocker to see you two in agreement.
not liking the episode? whatever.
but dismissing it as stupid and ty because it wasn't necessarily your preference of style? that's as stupid as my wife's sister who says Memento is stupid, simply because she is too lazy to take the time to watch and understand an unorthodox style of movie.
who cares? shes ugly anyways
