Just....cookies. Like last year's OKC series. Bad luck, plaguing the Spurs since 2008.

19 and 20 is at about the 3rd quartile winning score, well above the mean and median. Irving just got lucky ala the Thunder s last year.

Exactly. I am guessing in the playoffs he just has to imagine he's in the 3pt shooting contest and there are no defenders.

I'm really happy for him, and proud. Glad he did so well. I'm sure he understands that Kyrie was shooting out of his mind and that he should be proud of how well he shot.

And he almost didn't get in? Shame. Guess Stern was relieved to see Kyrie winning instead from his hated boring Spurs.

    truth bomb

tonight just proves when it matters Bonner's % goes down to about 30% which is very pedestrian. at least spursfan should be forewarned when playoffs come around and the red rocket is open in the wings.

Tbh if this means he's going to hit his shots come April I'll be okay with it.

But this is Bonner we're talking about.

You don't get scores of 19 and 20 by shooting 30%... he shot well but Irving was just hitting everything. It's not like Bonner pulled a Paul George on us.

Exactly, trade his ass asap, since he couldn't realize his life dream, he will probably play worse from no on, he won't have any drive anymore.

It was a good showing for Bonner but as Kenny said Irving was out to prove a point. You could see him getting in the zone in the final round. Oth Paul George showed why he shouldn't have been in the contest.

Yeah you're right, this is most likely as a result of Matt 'choking' his way to a massive 19 and 20 rather than an indication that humans fatigue over the course of physical compe ion...
