You snooze you lose
I have a Behmor Drum Roaster.
I have a variety of beans that I order online. Right now, I'm still stuck on Huehuetenango...a very robust Guatemalen bean.
Damn! Never seen something like this. Expensive?
I bought this:
It is pretty cool, though I am not much of a coffee drinker. I like the coffee I get from it though. I am trying to replace my monster habit so hopefully I can keep this going.
Tagging DarrinS because we spoke about this in another thread.
Bout $300 online. I picked mine up on sale for $270. It's pretty sweet.
Oh, you want flavor, my wife buys texas pecan roast from costco. It is pretty good.
You go through that much trouble for a cup of coffee?
Mystic Monk Coffee is the real deal. http://www.mysticmonkcoffee.com/store/storefront.php
I usually roast once a week....on the weekend and that gets me through the week. It's pretty easy to do and once you figure out the roasting process, the coffee is spectacular.
Not me. Teysha Blue
Sounds good. Is is regular roast, medium?
Have you seen what Cosmic Cowboy goes thru for a steak?! These guys and their contraptions![]()
Well you got a point there. But to get them to change a lightbulb, I need an act of congress.![]()
That's pretty awesome. I'm sure it's worth it.
I don't know (like I said I don't know coffee). Here is the bag![]()
I still like an old fashioned brewed cup of java. None of that fancy caca coffee.
What's the deal with airline food, anyway? I mean... *self-satisfied chuckle*... am I right?
I think that's the first time I've ever seen someone go cheap coffee/expensive creamer.
Concur. Fwiw, the HEB pecan is right there with it.
I gotta try this.
Nothing better than the smell of coffee roasting, plus it's fun to monkey around with the roast settings. There's a wee bit of a learning curve, but by my 3rd batch, I had it down cold.
I've been really enjoying cold brew coffee lately, though I've not yet found the right proportions/grind to brew at home anything as good as what I've found in stores. Taking heat out of the process completely changes the flavor profiles.
