Jackson + Bonner + Joseph + pick(s) for Jefferson is a wash salary-wise, leaving the Spurs below the tax. I can see why Utah wouldn't go for that, though.
Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard
Bucks willing to move Ellis bc he turned down Milwaukee's 2-yr contract extension. Ellis wanted to play out the season.

And of course, Orlando's Re , along with Minny's Derrick Williams are available

(As anyone who reads the Think Tank knows) I'd totally take Mbah a Moute if the asking price was just expiring contracts. I'd much rather have him on the bench than Bonner, as he is what people want Leonard to become defensively.
I would've traded Bonner and our 1st round pick for Mbah a Moute. Something tells me we're going to need his length and athleticism for defense in the playoffs, especially for Durant.
That first will be worthless in this awful draft. I'd give Milwaukee that first and Bonner for a trade exception if they had any caproom.
OT but Raptors have won 5 in a row, Grizz about to have 4 in a row; looks like trade working out for both teams.
I would be concerned about Toronto. Gay and Derozan went 19-43 to net 48 points. Since the trade, Terrence Ross has gotten very little playing time. They need to make some more moves to fix their offensive issues.
Whats the deal with Mozgov? Would he even be valuble as a big for us? Honestly havent seen him play lately.

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Latest Yahoo! Sports NBA trade deadline buzz. http://tinyurl.com/aqr2xrv
The San Antonio Spurs will likely move forward DeJuan Blair close to the deadline, ultimately accepting the best final offer for him, sources said. Blair has wanted a trade for more than a year, and clearly will not re-sign with the Spurs as a free agent this summer.
The Spurs had tried to canvass the market for a first-round pick, but have relented on that demand. The Spurs could get a second-round pick, or perhaps a player on an expiring deal in return. - Adrian Wojnarowski
EDIT: To elaborate on ace3g
Beaten to it.
Sacramento may be Blair's last game as a Spur.
Also: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap...h-Al-Jefferson
The San Antonio Spurs have been linked to trade discussions for Josh Smith and Al Jefferson, but a source the team won't pursue a move for either player.
The Spurs would have struggled to afford either player given their salary cap situation.
Would be surprised to see Philly move Turner, I thought he was having a great season?
Not surprising. In fact, the whole Al Jefferson discussion started because some author just wrote an article saying "Hey, San Antonio might want Jefferson, right?" and never bothered to base that on any fact or reality.
I'd love to see San Antonio trade Blair for Fab Melo. I don't know why we would want an expiring contract when Blair is expiring. He will definitely have some value to the Spurs down the stretch. I am sure Pop will rest Tim at least 2 or 3 games before season's end and Blair will be better than anyone of simalar salary. If you can get someone like Melo who could be someone to develop then fine, but not just to ship Blair out.
With the Suns being ruled out, I would say Milwaukee and Philly have the best chances to land Smith right now, but Philly would have to give up Turner which would be unwise imo. And I can almost guarantee Smith wouldn't re-sign with Milwaukee so that'd be a waste, unless it's just to dump Monta Ellis contract onto the Hawks (which I also doubt Ferry would do). And I don't see Danny trading him to Brooklyn cause it'd be dumb to take on Kris Humphries bloated contract. So there's really not many options here.. I'm also a little surprised Dallas hasn't been mention more but I guess Cuban's just confident he can lure him in this offseason with a max deal. Then entice Dwight to sign cause he and Smith are good friends and have talked about wanting to play together.

Houston's showing a willingness to move rookie Terrence Jones for a 1st-round pick, sources tell Y! Rockets are deep at forward spot.
Wonder if the Spurs would be willing to trade our 1st for Jones. He's still raw, but he's got good size at 6'9" 250 lbs and is pretty athletic. I'd compare his game to an underdeveloped Carl Landry.
I'd even try and throw Bonner in the deal, see if they'd bite.

Our first is considered a second-round pick.

It would suck for Spurs.another source said there was All-Star break talk of Oklahoma City exploring Marcin Gortat and P.J. Tucker for Kendrick Perkins, Jeremy Lamb and a first-round pick.
Great deal for the Suns, though, if that's Toronto's pick.
yes, big time.
Mavs wanted him badly in 2009. hope they still do. and they could offer a better package than the Thunder.
Cuban, pleeeeeaaaase!
You think this makes them that much better? Seems like the Thunder would only marginally improve with it.
If OKC can get this deal done they are 10 steps ahead of every other front office as far as payroll management. Perkins has played relatively bad all year. To get an interior defender like Gortat would great for them. At the end of the day you could basically say that OKC traded Harden and Perkins for Martin and Gortat. Not bad considering they were gonna have to let go of one of their big 3 at the beginning of the year. I can tell Sam Presti learned a thing or 2 with San Antonio by trading Harden at the beginning of the year instead of deadline day. Apparently Ferry did not. If this deal goes through, then well done Presti.![]()
