If you're thinking about renewing for next season double check your invoice and price map before you do so. My tickets went up more than 15%.

    Wow, 15% is a lot.

For reference between last year and this year, the average NBA ticket price went up by 3.5%:

Costs go up. Taxes have been raised and those above pass on the cost. Plain and simple.

They do? Can you back that claim up because from what I know and seemed, they don't.

all the empty seats plus the repeated non-sellout playoff games isn't enough for you?

I very much doubt that the average price of a season ticket will increase 15%.

There have been numerous changes to the season price map over the years. I just did a cursory comparison of the 2013-14 price map to the one from 2006-07, which is the oldest one I could find without much digging. There are now 23 price zones compared to 13 zones in 06-07. Whether your price has gone up, down, or remained about the same has everything to do with where your seats are. What really stands out at first glance are the changes to make season tickets more affordable for average fans. There are at least 2000-3000 seats that are substantially less expensive for 13-14 than they were in 06-07 ($495-607 per full season ticket compared to $945 eight years ago).

To the OP: check how the new map affected your situation. You may be in one of the last rows in your zone. Moving back a couple of rows could possibly yield significant savings.

For myself, 13-14 will be my 10th year with season tickets. There was a nominal increase in the price of my tickets, but that will be the first price increase I have seen since becoming a season ticket holder.

Ah, so you don't have any actual proof. You do understand the Spurs have one of the highest renewal rates in the NBA, over 12k season ticket holders and number 8 in percentage occupied, just behind the Lakers. But hey, nothing beats your anecdotal evidence.

What does Obama have to do with California? And why are you there in the first place? California has had high income tax rates for years.

Federal taxes have not been raised on any income since 2001 until this year when income over $400k/yr goes from 36 to 39.6%. You're either a dirtbag wealthy exec who screws people out of their money and can't get enough or, more likely, some ignorant teabagger who swallows mouthloads of Limbaugh/Hannity/Faux sperm.

Actually check that: "Federal taxes have not been raised on any income since 1993 until this year when income over $400k/yr goes from 36 to 39.6%"

So everyone making good money is a dirtbag? Nice generalization.
