Good dunk by Duncan there. He had a great game. Listen to all you bull ters...You'd all be ecstatic if Serge Ibaka showed up tomorrow in a Spurs uniform. Please.

Even Javale McGee and Monkeyball Jordan have higher basketball IQ's

Well yeah...Ibaka wasn't in good position and mistimed the whole block. But like it was stated, he doesn't back down and isn't afraid to get posterized. He's had some phenomenal blocks in his young career. The one on Blake Griffin, Tyson Chandler, Wilson Chandler....just for starters.
when you get posterized you don't argue, you take it and move on.

The uber-athletic (normally low IQ too) brand of basketball (ie: living from alley-oops instead of having a post game, etc)... see: DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin, Ibaka, Chandler, etc.

The comments are a bit harsh for Ibaka imho. He is not the first one to be posterized by Tim especially by a Tim that feels he is 30 y/o again. I still like Ibaka size, athleticism, blk shooting and rebounding capacities. In the actual market where bigs cost a fortune, I'm not sure he is so much overpaid tbh. I'm fine with what Thunder offered for him but once again I would have kept him, Durant and Harden and trade for Westbrook. League is full of top level PGs not so much full of clutch, clever SG such as Harden.

Ibaka is not Tim Duncan. He's still very young and has a very high ceiling. He showed up as a rookie unable to speak a single word of English and his only professional basketball experience was limited time with a Spanish pro team where he played limited minutes. To transplant himself in the NBA with almost zero pro ball experience, pick up a 4th (yes FOURTH) language and progress to where he is now is truly pretty remarkable. I don't think you'll find anyone who knows anything about basketball who disagrees. He's actually a pretty class act guy. Hard working, driven, keeps his nose clean, gives back to the community...yeah, it's all sappy , but I can appreciate a guy like this. He's not an All-Star player, he's not a max contract player, but he's a very solid PF. Top 25 in the league last year in FG% from 16-23 feet. A very legit jump shooter. He does need to improve on some aspects of his game though. Noone's making the guy out to be an MVP or anything. I don't really get the hate for the guy by some of you.

Really? One of the best PF/C to ever walk the face of the earth has a good game against Serge and all of a sudden Ibaka is a no good piece of ? I mean, that wasn't exactly the first guy Tim Duncan ever had a good game against. Tim Duncan has done that to the leagues best for years. A lot of people here really show a lot of ignorance and a lack of perspective.

I'm not seeing hate for Ibaka. I do see a consensus that it was a mistake to place a higher priority on retaining him than keeping Harden. The rest is just typical message board stuff mocking the young defensive stud getting abused by a TOSB.

Yeah I guess so. Ill ignore it. I still contend that Ibaka will eventually prove to be more irreplaceable than Harden is.

Don't worry about the ibaka hate talk partner. Around these parts too many Spurfans are still butthurt from his flawless performance in the WCF.

Isn't calling someone a spear chucker kinda racist? I mean Hakeem and Mutombo were spear chuckers I believe, and they were pretty good. It didn't make them necessarily bad at basketball or laughable somehow just by being spear chuckers. Just saying.

Ibaka is solid, guys. 14, 8, and 3 on the season. Is he an elite big man? No, but he's very very solid. Be honest now guys - you'd be elated if he showed up on your team right now, right?

It's a love and hate relationship with Westbrook. The guy will have you in awe one second and cussing your mother the next. He's gotta be shortening Scott Brooks' life considerably.
