Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA Ronnie Brewer confirms that he has been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Not sure what the New York Knicks are getting back.
Brewer is a good spot defender and will relieve Durant for defensive duties and will back up Sefolosha. It is a good pick up by Presti.

I don't think we can get someone off of waivers without waiving one of our own players.

correct me if i'm wrong, but teams can still be granted extensions to work out a trade as long as the framework is submitted before the deadline?

I bet the Spurs wait to see who gets waived, then waive Blair and pick up one of those guys.

Fortunately he is a terrible shooter.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA Blazers will send the draft rights of Giorgio Printezis to the Thunder as part of the Eric Maynor deal, source tells Y!
58th pick of the 2007 draft by the Spurs. Multiple transactions later, resulted in the draft pick used to select Blair in 2009.

So what. They don't play big minutes. Probably not even in the playoff rotation. There is value however in eating up some regular season minutes to keep everyone healthy. Again, so what.
Um, the past several years of the playoffs have shown us that Pop gets to the playoffs and think these guys are the answer come crunch time. And they've repeatedly failed, but he keeps squinting at Bonner and thinking it's a slightly less tan version of Robert Horry running around out there.

    That's what.

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA The New York Knicks have traded Ronnie Brewer to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a second-round pick. Brewer was just informed of the deal.
Damn the Knicks are stupid. Wasnt Brewer starting at the beginning of the season?

His playing time disappeared when Shumpert returned.

Brewer won't even get on the floor. He can't shoot either which is good for the Spurs. Leave his ass open.

OKC had Charlotte's #31 pick, which is as strong a 2nd rounder as is available.

If I thought any run-of-the-mill guard on another team could do his job better, I'd be in favor of JJ Re or Booby Gibson joining the Spurs. That said, Manu and Jack are the starting-caliber twos on this team.
    Jack as a two-guard ... funny.

I'm sure this has been discussed already. But the Nets are making offers for Paul Pierce?

Exactly. Corey is underrated and good. Ronnie can't shoot and was a good defender like five years ago when he played for Utah. While he was on the Bulls, if everyone can remember, the Bulls were constantly looking for a replacement. I don't see that trade as any kind of a game changer.

That's kinda hard to do, since the deadline has passed.

It would be funny if they agreed to a deal an hour after the deadline.

Not sure why you think it's funny. He's played the two plenty in his career, and he did it while Manu was out.

    It's ridiculous that J.J Red was the hottest commodity in at this trade deadline. & it's even more ridiculous, that the Raptors were probably the biggest winners, and all they got was Telfair. -____-;
