Spurs, easily.
Kobe owns the Spurs in the playoffs, not even the biggest Spurs homer could deny this.
It doesn't really matter though. Lakers have won 11 out of 15 and they are playing at an elite level.
it seems Lakers compete better vs. spurs in reg season. But would lakerfan rather face Pop coached healthy Spurs or Hardenless OKC coached by random whiteboy??

This feels like a question that one should ask fans of a team >.500 and better than a 9th seed tbh
Roughly equivalent to asking a Bobcats fan: "Who would you rather face in the playoffs? The Heat or knicks?" It's a moot point.
This question should be directed to the Utah Jazz/Houston Rockets fans, tbh.
This must be a thread for next season imo
The Spurs. No one wants to mention the elephant in the room, but they are mentally fragile in the playoffs and have been since 2008 (especially Parker).
2008: Blew huge leads in Games 1 and 5
2009: Ousted by 6th-seed Dallas 4-1
2010: Swept by the Suns (a team they historically had Daddy status over)
2011: the infamous 8
2012: Backdoor swept on the heels of a 20-game winning streak
San Antonio is aching to choke again in the playoffs--especially with their reliance on so many scrubs.
Jim is old, Parker is french and can easily become a non-factor during the playoffs and they rely too much on their extensive arsenal of scrubs to hit their jumpshots.
With that said, i like the Lakeshow's chances if they end up facing the spurs in the 1st round.
So you think the Lakers are the favorite in that matchup, correct?
OKC has always matched up better against the Lakers than the Spurs. That said, this current D'Antoni coached incarnation of the Lakers would get handled by either team tbh.
This.
& the lakers would easily lose to both teams so it doesnt even matter.
they have to make the playoffs first before talking about anything else
Lakers should not care who they face since as the 8th seed at best they will get swept or rolled over 4-1 by whoever they face.
2009-2011, not healthy/our D sucked
2012- first time healthy since 2007, our D was average.
2013- Healthy? Elite D.
lol nobody needs to jinx the Lakers they do it themselves, just look at the team and coach
well it would make for a great story. Lakers rally for 8th spot and proceed to defeat the 60 win spurs in 6 games. Stern would die a sweet death watching Heat vs. Lakers finals.
I still think Lakers have a better chance at surprising OKC than Spurs. Pop is just too old and too wise.
lakers are bound to get beat in the first round no matter who they play but they're gonna put up a good fight. you have to prepare yourself for a marathon series if you're to take the lakers for the first round and that's why teams are trying to avoid facing them too early imho
OKC would absolutely run the Lakers out of the gym....and they can't beat SA either.
Let's remind LAL Bandwagon that the Spurs have just won 25 out of 30 games...so, whose playing at an ELITE LEVEL?It doesn't really matter though. Lakers have won 11 out of 15 and they are playing at an elite level.
I suppose gutting out a W against the likes of currently out of the Playoffs Blazers and Mavs is supposed to mean something but as always, LAL Bandwagon likes to premature ejaculate. Let's let them play the Spurs. I see that as Spurs 4-1 or say 4-2 at most. Dominates the Spurs he does...even at this age and with an older team with no bench and no perimeter defender outside of Bean that can even stick close to Parker. HA! Whistle all you want LAL Bandwagon. Follow your leader to their inevitable doom. This is not what the Doctor has ordered.
If I was a lakers fan I would definitely want the Spurs as OKC creates a much tougher match up problem for them. Lakers will be playing well if they make the playoffs, and could take the Spurs to 6 games maybe 7 but I don't think the Lakers would have any chance if Duncan and Manu get back in form
Lakers have actually beaten okc this year
As have the Wizards...and Cleveland. LAL hasn't a chance in in 7 games against OKC. Houston has a better shot at beating OKC in 7 games than LAL does.
Lakers 28-29 #9 in West...![]()
