Amen sir
Anybody else hate what the Oscar's have become? They used to actually go to the best film and be entertaining but now it's just about which artsy fartsy film these aristocrats like. Furthermore, even though I live in Los Angeles, it's enough of promoting gay rights every ing time with these stupid events. Every award show someone comes out the closet and gives some liberal agenda about how gays should be loved and treated as equals. This video is pretty much the Oscars summed up.
Why do they sometimes call it The Oscars and other other times (years) they call it the 83rd (whatever year it is) Annual Academy Awards? It always confuses me.
I call them the Jewish awards tbh
I'll tell you who didn't win the Oscar.
Reeva Steenkamp
I have not seen a single one of the best picture nominees.
Skyfall should have been nominated for Best Picture. A damn shame.
I didn't like the Home Alone climax of Skyfall.
How dare you sir.
After Slum dog Millionaire I have yet to tune in.
Its a good celebration of film but its a ing joke every year
Rooting for Silver Linings Playbook
My favorite of the BP nominees is Django, but that doesn't feel like a BP-type film. I liked Argo okay but I have trouble getting past the artificial suspense they created around real events... I wouldn't be disappointed if it won, though. Same with Zero Dark Thirty. Lincoln was blatant pandering Oscar bait and would be the worst winner since Crash.
I've unfortunately been a movie slacker this year. Django Unchained and Argo are the only of the nominees I've seen yet. I liked Argo enough that I would be fine with a win (though I don't see it happening), but agree that the added suspense cheapened what was otherwise a really cleverly assembled film. I'd be thrilled if Django Unchained won, however. Not only because I think it's good enough to be worthy, but also specifically because it's not the type of movie that typically wins.
Is Les Miserales up for best picture? I think that one should win.
I saw Argo and wasn't impressed. I think the only reason why it has been winning awards its because it was based on actual real events.
You liked Les Miserables?
Lincoln is extremely overrated. It would be horrible if it won. Argo not only changed facts, but Afflecks dumb ass couln't even cast a Latino for the lead role Tony MENDEZ. For that alone it should lose. Probably won't though. Oscars love the propaganda pro-nationalism bs films. It would be great if Silver Linings won, but not likely.
Surprisingly, yes.
I went in thinking this was a normal movie not realizing it was a musical type film.
Liked it in the end. More than Lincoln and Argo for what is worth.
I dunno man...musicals....not my thing.
Its not my thing either. I highly doubt I'd watch something like this ever again.
It was the worst movie experience of my life honestly. Im not trying to troll or anything but it was like being water boarded for 3 hours. I've never been so excited for a bathroom break during a movie in all of my life.
I hate Anne Hathaway.
Amy Adams, Zoe Saldana on the red carpet. Babes![]()
Django was the only movie I saw nominated for best pic. I think it's clearly Tarantino's best or second-best film. Tops in terms of entertainment value/catharsis.
Tarantino as an individual is a disgusting self-promoting pseudo intellectual, but I can't deny he's a great director.
