Yes. Son-of-a- got off easy. He got to ejaculate all over the forum while the Kobe-era Lakers were at their peak and then was banned before we could really feed him a steady diet of -sandwiches (moreso Spursfans, since Mavs fans had bragging rights after 4-0 and 36).
That said, his banning was justified at the time, because he got lazy with his style and too often resorted to one word responses and catchphrases, which, as we all know, he incessantly spammed. Before then, he'd always oblige with some witty remark or amusing anecdote. You'd want to troll him just too see what kind of quirky he'd come up with. But then he reached a point where he'd only respond with TOSB, 5>4, you're on the list, etc, and everyone quickly tired of him.

The take itself isn't necessarily why it's an ongoing joke. It was your incessant defense of it that had you using pretty much every argumentative fallacy in existence to try and justify it. Even your "admission" that it was a bad take wasn't really an admission since you always had to qualify it somehow: "Yeah, I made a bad take, but..."

The reason Mavkrew posters, who are your main focus here, don't receive as much as flak as others is because they've built a solid reputation for themselves as good posters and rarely, if ever, have leftfield opinions that are easily derided (with the exception of stretch's Roddy Beaubois take, which I haven't read, but if he overrated Beaubois like that, it's deserving of a). It's not because we're all "Mavkrew suck ups." They're just good posters who don't really have too many controversial basketball opinions.

Calling Dirk top 15 or the 2nd/3rd best best PF of all time isn't really a homerish opinion, since Dirk has a very impressive resume that not many players can match. I know you believe Dirk is not worthy of top 15 all time great status because he isn't an elite defender, but neither were Barkley or Malone, two players I'm sure you have over Dirk. On the other hand, having the opinion Dirk isn't a top 15 great isn't a "hater" opinion, either, since the fact he was never an elite defender is a strong argument against him. I personally have him in the top 15, but I could see him as low as 20-25. Ultimately, neither opinion is hater or homer. Dirk at 15 or Dirk at 25 are both equally valid takes.
I do think placing Dirk out of the top 30 is getting into "hater" territory, though.
