Andy is definitely the most inconsistent character on The Office. He was a major bag in last night's episode. I liked the little moment that Dwight and Angela had. Those two deserve to be with each other.

Finally got around to watching season 8 and all I have to say is holy this show felt right on its face. Total train wreck.

I understand what you guys meant about Nellie. Horrible unlikeable character.

Yeah the show is a s of its former self. Damn, I don't even know if you can say that because that would be giving the writers a compliment. I think the only reason why people are still watching because they want to see it end. It will be over soon. Some people say the writers' strike was the beginning of the end of this show. It got bad when they started adding way too many characters and making characters unlikeable(Nellie, Andy, and Ryan the temp).

I know this is my reason for sure.

Once I heard season 9 would be the last season I decided to pick up on this show again because I'm curious as to how it will all end.

But after re-watching the show from Netflix I'm afraid I already saw the real, true ending of the series.

Season 7, episode 22 (Goodbye, Michael)

Since that episode (which I may add got teary eyed as watching) I have been fighting through the rest of the episodes for the sake of completion.

If Goodbye Michael had been the last episode, I would have been okay with it. The Office was not great in season 7 but it was nowhere bad as season 8 which was a train wreck or this season. The writers could have closed up the story in season 7 especially since Michael left. Steve Carell and Michael were smart to leave in season 7. They got off the anic right before it sank.

Season 5 was the last good year of The Office. They have been in Simpsons mode since Season 6.

pretty much, but at least they haven't sold out to their own political ideologies like The Simpsons

A lot of people left after Michael left. The ratings took a dip but it was to be expected.

Of course, but me saying "It's still on?" is my way of saying that I can't believe that show still gets air time. It's sarcasm. How is it anyways? Still funny?

I know it was sarcasm, that's why I said that instead of "You really didn't know it was still on?"

and no, not really. The only enthusiasm I still have is from wondering what's going to happen to all the characters. So it is still fun to watch as things progress and wind down but there's usually no more than 2 times an episode where I full on laugh

At least this season has been better than last season. I know it is not saying much, but at least they haven't further regressed. Interested in seeing how it all winds up. I want Michael Scott to return for the finale but I think Carell said he is not returning.

Smart move, as the series finale will probably be every bit as bad the one for Seinfeld was.

Steve Carrell got intergrity. He exited with grace. NBC in the other hand had to milk the show and it up.

I thought he exited two seasons too late, but can't say I wouldn't have done the same with what a huge cash cow that show was.

Season 8 of The Office was on the same level as the 2nd half of the 2nd season of Heroes or possibly even worse than the Nikki and Paulo storyline on Lost. It was bad. This season hasn't been great but it's definitely an improvement from last season. We've seen less Andy and Nellie which is good. Robert California is gone as well as Kelly and Ryan the temp.

Is Ed Helms (Andy) gone forever or just a few eps? I started catching up on season 9 now and I'm up to episode 11 and he hasn't been back since taking his boat ride.

Did he just quit or something? lol this show is a mess.

In the story, Andy was gone about 3 months which was probably 5 or 6 episodes I think.

Did anyone see the ad that was on Oscar's computer in tonight's episode? It was an ad for the do entary called The Office and it said "coming this May".
what about it? It makes me anticipate the finale more than ever now
I actually think that was a clever ad for the show itself.

Its like a new show being promoted for the world that the character live in.

Remember when Michael told the camera guy to let him know if 'this show' ever airs? Well I think that ad is referring to just that.

just like someone pointed out earlier, they gave too many characters too much time/lines. That character has been the most obvious example. Every time she starts to speak I already have it in my mind that it's not gonna be funny
