counter cafe has got my favorite burger in austin. But they close at like 3 so not so convenient
Yeah, that's probably it. Sandy's must be OK if it has lasted next door to a Whataburger all these years. I keep waiting for the Elevation Burger to move out to 183 with a drive thru. They need to start grilling their buns though.

Yeah, I'll try to remember that the next time I'm downtown early. What do you do for Chinese?
suzy's chinese kitchen is pretty good though a little on the pricey side for chinese. I really like Tien Jien (pretty sure that's right) on westgate. It's right next to the super buffet and consequently is usually pretty quiet inside. The vegetables there all seem super fresh and the price is perfect. Clientele is a lot of asian families which i felt validated the food, imo.
for all sorts of asian (chinese, vietnamese, etc) 888. Super cheap, open late, and killer pho
Cool, I live fairly close to Suzi's and will try the others when I'm in the neighborhood. I live very close a takeout place that is only fair, but OK for lunch when I'm lazy. China House on Burnet is much better across the board. Hwa Yuan on Balcones Woods has pretty good Korean for less than than Korea House. There's good Pho all over the place up here to my taste, but I'm not a connoisseur .
i've been making my own potstickers, but need help with making some killer dipping sauces (no ).
i got this scanpan that works amazingly. potstickers come out perfect every time.
Oh. I forgot to mention the best restaurant in town. Uchi. If you haven't, you must. Even if sushi isn't your thing this place will blow your mind. We try to make it out there once a month but that can be expensive. Their happy hour is awesome though, we usually will just get one of everything on happy hour (6-7 tasting dishes) some sake and make it out of there under $80 which is awesome for this place. Also, Uchiko, just as good with a different menu.
Ladies & Genitals - they have waved the white flag...
I accept your surrender. I don't blame you one bit!!!!

The recommendations have made this thread worth it to me tbh. All I see you doing is desperately trying to convince yourself you are better than other people. I accept that you have this need; if you need to brainwash yourself into thinking that to get you through life, rave on.
Silverblk, would you say you are a happy person most of the time?
Also, for someone who claims they want an open discussion, saying things like "I won" isn't really conducive to your cause.
ok...what is there to discuss, burgers?
sure
I think the fact that this guy is considered a good spurstalk poster and one of the usual suspects says it all.
Stay programmed my friends.
Classic "meltdown"![]()
It's funny because its several days later since I made that post and you're still thinking about it.
You take the Internet so serious!
Lol!!!!!!!!
It was a classic - just giving you credit!
It is wonderful when idiocy reveals itself.

Go to Hao Hao's on William cannon and manchaca (se corner).....best pho I've ever had easily.
Several days later.....
LOL e grudge
your butt is programmed for hurt when someone lols at you.
What's the point of the story then, if not to persuade others?
what...no name calling?
I am disappointed...you are slipping...let's re-program you again...
Different answers for this...
A) The point might be that I am an idiot for trying
B) The point could be to talk about important things that might be of use
C) Point might be to insult each other
D) Point was never to persuade anyone - just throwing it out there.
E) Depends on your point of view
I asked you for YOUR point of view. Did you have a point in sharing the story?
Great question - very stupid of me to try an answer so, for now, I would re-ask it of you - are you happy most of the time?
Which story, Freddie's?
Just giving Woo the courtesy - since he asked me - how is he brainwashed - I tried to show him how a lot of us - were unwittingly programmed.
There is a method to the madness - but I am pretty sure that most people want it proven in a paragraph or two and that is impossible. So, I threw it out there anyway to see if it ever could lead to a deep discovery or to any meaningful insights -so -to - speak.
I would say so, personally. Not counting brief moments of frustration/rage, whenever I am unhappy I tend to evaluate my life. I have a great wife and great kids, and we're all relatively healthy. I have food, shelter, and a job. I have a vehicle. I have enough money to save (ok, probably not enough but close) enough for retirement and still do recreational activities. Life's been good to me so far.
