The league has been trying to get James and Bryant in a head to head for years. It took moving James to a stacked system and stacking the Lakers to almost get the planets to align. They couldn't control just how ty the best center in the league, aka DPOY aka Bible Kemp would play for most of the season.

If the Lakers do squeak by and get that 8th or even 7th seed, look for some crazy to happen for them to get to the Finals. Stern is on his way out in a year or so, he wants a big fat paycheck to go.

I've never been much for the conspiracy thing, but this is a product like the WWE and it's handled in a similar fashion, only the players aren't actors (most aren't).

1. Three quarters of compe ive basketball to entertain the crowd, followed by one quarter of tanking

2. The Pelicans' front office realizing that a win would hurt their draft position and putting in the orders late

a win is a win and the lakers will take this but their fans are deluding themselves if they think their team will have any chance to upset the spurs or whoever else in the first round tbh. they're playing in great form lately and im more than convinced that they'll put up a good fight whether against spurs or OKC but i just don't see them beating any of the two teams tbh. the league already did what's beyond normal to ensure a playoff berth for the lakers and you can't expect them to do much more to push you through the 1st round, even if you're the lakers.

Never even predicted a Finals run, brah. YOu must have me confused with someone else. I Said this team would lose to OKC in the WCF ... well now they may lose to OKC (or SPURS) in the first round. And No I dont celebrate division les ... Sure, a Cnference Finals appearance is an accomplishment for most franchises but we dont even put banners up for those even if we win in it ... unlike some ty franchises that should know better by now ... they kinda like some HS team putting up division or conference les. Once you win city or state who cares about conference les?!

I am also not convinced Lakers could beat any of the top 3 or 4 teams because they have struggled against them. But some of those games have been on back to back and they wont face that in May. Pau coming back would add depth. Regardless I just think right now we are just a potential tough out ...And though that is disappointing I never saw this team as a legit le contender even before the drama and the injuries. Some of you haters may enjoy our struggles but nothing about this season is much of a surprise. Heat looke better than last year. Lebron is the best player in the game. Kobe still the best SG and a top 3-5 player, Mike D is not a great coach, neither is Mike Brown. Pop is a great coach. Spurs are the best regular season team in recent memory and none of that will matter in June if the King is healthy.

Unlike you turds (hateing the Lakers) I dont hate the Spurs team, especially since Bowen left they dont bring out much reaction in me EXCEPT for an appreciation for the great play of Tim, Manu and the brillance of Pop. It's your penis envy fan-base ... that I cant stand. And I have no problems wishing misery for the fans that cant show respect and spew nonsensical hate on Lakers fans or Kobe just because we have kicked your ass all these years. Not talking about the real cool ( a few) ones here (you know who you are) but damn right I will enjoy the end of another fool's gold season in SA ...

AnD I cant wait to read those whiny well at least we didnt lose in the first round defenses ... of this Spurs team. Because as much as folks upstairs try and tell themselves that "im just gonna enjoy the ride" ...losing as an 8th seed doesnt hurt. Losing with HCA or a legit shot (Well outside of teh Heat shot) at a le hurts way more. I remember losing in 1984, 1989, 1986 and 2003-2004 as far more crushing than losing in 2008 or 2011 or 2012 ...

And if OKC is the one doing the pushing it will be that much sweeter since yall are starting to hate them as much as the LAkers lately ...
