BatManu is still a gamer. Manu haters can kick rocks
Awesome to see Manu play like he did tonight. Tony being out is such a good thing for him. Wish it wasn't 4 weeks but this is without a doubt exactly what Manu needed.
I wish he'd have scored 20 again tonight. Then we could bump the "Will Ginobili ever score 20 pts again?" thread. Still, 18 and 9 is a damn solid stat line.
Everyone is playing better and this unit has to learn to play with one another without Parker stirring the drink. Good sign tonight against a pretty solid defensive team.
That thread is irrelevant. Manu has already proven he isn't "done" which was the original point of that thread. Whether he scores 19 or 18 instead of 20 doesn't mean anything to me. He's playing as well as he has in the last 2-3 years in these last 2 games with TP out
He has shown that he can still do it, I don't expect him to do it every game but it's a good sign if we need that kind of performance in the playoffs
How can you be a SPURS fan and be a Manu hater????
Well obviously.
Thats why it's so fun to bump it everytime and call the OP out for stupidity.
Church of Manu, Church of Tony.
They're likes Protestants and Catholics. They both fundamentally think the same things, but sometimes have very different beliefs on how things are interpreted, past historical events, or who the head of the Church, ahem, team is at any given time.
Same thing happened in 2010. He started slow and didn't really get going till TP went down.
[barkley]GINOBILI!!!!![/barkley]
If Manu stays healthy (pray!) and maintains this level, the Spurs would have very good chance to beat the Thunder. Against the Heat, it's another story. It all depends on whether the defense can lower LeBron from historical to normal MVP level.
enjoy until TP comes back, tbh
Manu just playing like he does, only with more responsabilities/touches, tbh. Did you all really expect something else?
I honestly was worried about his driving capability during the season. He seemed to be settling for a lot of jumpshots early on in the season and that has never been his MO. Watching him attack the paint relentlessly is a welcome sight.
That's clever.![]()
It's more than just more touches with Tony out. It's how he attacks the rim efficiently, which is not often seen for the whole season.
He didn't need to earlier in the season.
He's just been coasting all season, tbh. He knows when the real season starts, per par.
