Typical right-wing bull , no "why" borrowing is up to keep govt running.
Federal REVENUES are down, aka "starving the beast" with corporate and 1% tax cuts, plus with millions out of work or back in low-paid jobs, SS/Medicare/IRS revenues are down.
CNSNews.com) - The federal government has now borrowed more money during Barack Obama’s time as president than it did in the period lasting from the time President George Washington took the oath office until July 2, 2001, more than five months into the first term of President George W. Bush.
At the close of business on Jan. 20, 2009, when President Barack Obama was inaugurated, the national debt stood at $10,626,877,048,913.08, according to the Treasury. At the close of business this Thursday, it stood at $16,323,083,449,604.98.
That means the debt has increased $5,696,206,400,691.90 during Obama’s presidency.
On July 2, 2001, more than five months after President George W. Bush entered office, the national debt was $5,693,220,327,798.14, according to the Treasury. By the close of business on July 3, 2001, it had risen to 5,698,195,769,465.40. Since then, the debt has never again dropped below $5,696,206,400,691.90—the amount it has increased in less than one full term of Obama.
(Between late 1999 and the middle of 2001, as federal revenues sometimes exceeded expenditures, the debt fluctuated back and forth over the $5.696 trillion mark--only to finally pass that threshold, without retrenching, between July 2 and 3, 2001.)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch..
op fail
6t is way less then 10t
The OP would have more credibility if he posted that the GOP controlled House of Representatives has spent more proportionally than all other House of Representatives before them...
Both sides are guilty but quit aqcting like Obama has the best plans for the people.
Obama found himself at the bottom of a large hole and he wasn't the one who dug it.
dug even deeper, true, but what was the alternative?
I disagree.
Now I agree congress is responsible for the budget, but at the same time, proposals have merit. We would never be as bad off as we are now if Obamacare didn't pass. My employer would be hiring if additional people didn't cost so much more than paying existing workers overtime.
Democrats scare people with capital. They have all but shut down the new investment and business in our once great nation.
lose a generation to radicalism and incoherent populism? too late.
The USA is still great. you.
Not as great as it used to be.
Too many people who feel en led to others productivity.
How many Austinites does it take to change a lightbulb?
20.
one to do it and nineteen to stand around and about how the old light bulb was so much better.
you know what, WC? they're all wrong.
(about Austin anyway. it ain't the old lightbulb for sure, but that doesn't mean it sucks.)
you might be wrong about the USA. I would think you'd at least leave it open that you might be.
I have seen America change for only the worse.
I remember the 60's. Do you? What are you, half my age?
are you 92 years old?
I remember the seventies. what, am I too young to remember the really great lightbulb y'all had back in the sixties?
The 70's is when the bulk of en lements started. In the 60's, when there were few en lements, people didn't just sit on their asses.
right now, you goddamn kids.
what people are referring too Mitt?
