Nuggets are a very good team, tbh..
They are close..they are only a star player, a consistent shooter and another defensive piece away from contending, tbh..
Nuggets just owning another supposed 'contender'

After the first few weeks of the season, who has considered the Clippers contenders?
Good win though, always good to see that team lose.![]()
Ty will be a star
nugz are scary at home tbh, interesting to see if they can grab home court advantage, they could be dangerous in the PO's
they are getting nowhere as long as iggy can't knock the ft and one of their centers becomes only slightly below average..
Koufos is competent
There were some ppl in here that said trading melo for 1/2 knick team was a good trade for ny![]()

You seem to be very honest.
The interesting thing will be to see how the team handles the playoffs. They exceeded expectations last year by taking LA to 7, could they live up to expectations if they are favored vs Memphis, or will they fold?
The Greek Tim Duncan doin work![]()
i'd like to see him play 30/night before making a decision, for now he seems like a very low upside player and to tell you the truth, i'd have to think hard to find a starting center in the league, i would trade for him..
It worked for both teams.
The Knicks have made it to the playoffs ever since Melo went there which is something they hadn't done since 2005.
Problem is these two teams are still first round fodders.
Player A: 22 mpg, 60% fg, 8.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 1.4 bpg
player b: 24 mpg, 59% fg, 10.5 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 0.8 bpg
one's koufous, one is splitter.
spurfan foams at the gash over splitter, but koufous is "low upside".
ty take son.
according to 82games.com splitter playing with duncan means splitter playing pf 100% of time, so you can't really compare the stats when koufos is clearly playing the anchor role while splitter is not.. splitter having the same fg% as koufos is pretty impressing tbh though..
A: 57% FT, 3.2 PF, 0.4 APG
B: 74% FT, 2.1 PF, 1.4 APG
I'm just saying stat wise they're comparable players, and espn lists splitter as a C.
i don't think splitter is bad, far from it. He's not the love child of Jesus and David Robinson joe spurfan thinks he is, but creaming over splitter and saying koufous has no upside is just silly
well that's actually my point, he's a center that plays pf and very well actually.. i don't really see koufos running to guard the kevin loves of the nba.. just that fact shows how splitter can adapt to different type of games, different type of assignments and offensive schemes.. i don't think splitter is a god, and neither i am a koufos hater, i just think the nuggets would be a lot better with someone like splitter at center tbh..
I see. Moot point really, Karl would never play him at PF anyway
It was good trade for NY. They`ve got their true All-Star. NY needs that kind of player. None of guys sent to Nuggets is going to be as good as Melo, from basketball and merchendise point of view. They sent probably every valueable piece to Denver, that`s why they have a bunch of old farts to run around Melo. But they are doing pretty good, especially when you take Isiah Thomas times into consideration.
My old man and I were talking about this very same thing yesterday.
They're good, but I don't know if I'd be LOL-ing at the NBA just yet. Like others have said, they're still missing some key pieces in order to be a contender themselves. A 14-19 road record is far from stellar.
Lawson has Parker upside IMO
A versatile defender to replace Corey Brewer would be great.
