....... @ mills defense on lillard ............ not cojos fault ................
It wasn't just Mills. Did you even watch the game? lol. Manu guarded him as well.

There was also Wesley Matthews fluking threes, Aldridge and Hickson playing well against our bigs.

Why do you say that? LOL Westbrook may go for 50.
Blue font there. Spurs might just drop two in a row.

at least Tim got to rest
Unfortunately, some of his rest came during the first quarter when he got two fouls in about as many minutes and then watched Aldridge and Hickson score at will at the rim after that.

This is why I can't stand Diaw. He goes through too many "I don't give a " stretches. It's annoying with someone of his capabilities.

This game falls on Tiago and Timmy. They got destroyed by Adridge/Hickson, and their soft defense set the tone for the rest of the team going forward.

A lot of this loss has to do with our bigs. They let Aldridge + Hickson go crazy and let Lillard get to the rim too easily.
Allowing Hickson to continue shooting is a good strategy, regardless of his effectiveness..he's a black hole and he won't continue having success all game..

Aldridge isn't an alpha, he frequently loses aggression..

Allowing points from those guys doesn't beat you..the game got away from the Spurs once Lillard took over and their perimeter players got an abundance of open shots..

I agree that the bigs were horrible on D btw, just saying I'd much rather allow Hickson/Aldridge to try to beat me all game..

This result is forgivable in November and December but not in ING MARCH after the RRT.

Hate to make this loss even worse but this same Portland roster went into New Orleans last month and lost 99-63.

They've also lost to Cleveland, Washington, and Phoenix at home this calendar year.

Patty Mills was spot on in his interview today. Spurs have a big ol X on their back.

Meh. WGAF about HCA. Spurs are an outside shot either way its kinda like finding the difference between 1/5 and 4/25 betting wise.

Duncan got three bull crap defensive fouls in the first half that staggered Pips rotation and that helped Portland.
Furthermore, Manu went into Worthless Chucker mode when Leonard was trying to reach anew level, which killed Leonard's rhythm, and dug us an even bigger hole.

This tbh. If Aldridge/Hickson didn't go HAM, it'd be a shootout right now, and I'd pick the Spurs over them in that case.
I think you guys are overreacting a little bit. Before TD got into foul trouble it was more or less even. The momentum didn't swing fully until that sub and by the time the full line-up got in the Blazers were in rhythm. Spurs were out of sorts for the rest of the night and the Blazers always play our team tough.

Spurs do need to start making more adjustments with TP out though.
