If the Spurs stay lucky and somehow remain #1, then yes.
Against us, we will run a train on the Lakers.
if the Lakers finish 8th, they will knock off the top seed.
I hate Kobe with a passion (only due to the Lakers owning the Nuggets in the playoffs), but what he is doing at the moment is impossible not to admire.
He is going to will the Lakers into the postseason and they will make some noise.

they aren't going to finish as the 8th seed though they are like a game behind the Rockets. Kobe is going ham but it's mostly likely all the energy he stores up for the playoffs is being expended for this run. He will fall off soon.
Shut the up. It's our destiny mother er. You're only a frog on the highway.
Thunder will destroy them in 5.
Spurs on the other hand would have a harder time tbh.
But Pop's superiority over Pringles would be the deciding factor.
INB4...congress...I didn't know that cream was HGH
Don't know how miraculous wins against lower tier teams translates to first round upset of the #1 seed, but ok
I've defended the Lakers here for most of the season, but this is strange timing for the OP..
The Lakers needed consecutive elite games from Kobe, along with consecutive 20-10 games from Howard, just to beat ty teams during the last minute, one of the games going to OT..
I'd rather avoid the Lakers, but they still have a lot of work to do..part of the reason I'd like to avoid them is because I'd much rather play Houston or Golden State, tbh..
OKC beats them in 5 with 3-4 double digit wins..Spurs beat them in 5 or 6, although some of the games would be close..unlike past Lakers teams with prime Gasol/Odom/Bynum, this Lakers team probably wouldn't hurt the Spurs in the paint..
Pretty much... I don't think you can build a case where they beat the Clippers either. Memphis would be the best case for them, IMO, since you just don't know how they're going to react after that shocking exit last playoffs. Obviously, if there are some key injuries in any of the top 4, all bets are off.
True
Spurs or okc are ed
if the L's manage to scrawl up to the 6th spot or higher then they'll have a realistic chance to get past the 1st round, but i just don't see them beating neither the spurs nor OKC tbqh. a subway series in LA would be fun to watch and the odd would be 50-50
100.00 the Lakers don't knock off the top seed. Regardless of who it is.
what are the actual odds on that
None. The Lakers are a legitimate contender. Right? They were just injured and lacked chemistry, which explains their current record. Now that they're relatively healthy, have gelled, and Kobe is beastin', how are they not the favorite to win their first round matchup?
Quit trying to hustle me for odds. You damn well know the Lakers have "gotten it together" and are primed for a Finals run.
(Or we're you asking about actual bookmaking odds?)
Mid, while you're calculating the odds can you give me some numbers on thunderdown offing himself with the candlestick on professor Plumb's desk, wearing a double wetsuit and ass dildo while self-affixiating?
Thxkthx
well they are the 8th seed, so the "odds" are greatly against them , sad to say the purple n gold are not even in the playoffs yet so u already won the bet.. nice try smh
2 to 1. 1 to 1 if he happens to be high on meth. And since OKC residents are always high on meth...yeah...it's 1 to 1.
C'mon. You know they're shoe-in to make the playoffs. Once they get in, it's all academic from there. The Thunder, the Spurs, nor the Clippers will be able stop the Laker train when its speeding full steam ahead.
I'm starting to think you don't really believe the Lakers are a contender.
sure i do, but what does that matter, odds are odds nigglet
"Odds are not odds," re .
Do you understand how bookmaking works? Bookmakers set the odds with the purpose of getting an even amount of money bet on either side so they can ensure a profit. The Lakers could lose the next ten games in a row by 40 points each, but if the book somehow received a ton of action on the Lakers to win the le, the odds of the Lakers winning the championship would actually increase, despite how badly the Lakers are playing. The book does this so they can slow the betting down on the Lakers and get people to bet on other teams. There's nothing scientific about Vegas odds. It's all about keeping a balanced book.
Since I'm not a bookie, I ain't giving you Vegas odds. You want to bet with me, we doing it straight up.
