Where's the "true/false" post where only a couple of us said the Lakers would make the playoffs? (they haven't yet but we'll see).
LAL is 2 games back of the 6th seed. In a perfect world, they get #6 and face the Grizz in the first round, while SA's injuries drop them to the 2nd seed. Then we won't have to face OKC till the WCF.
LOL Spurs better pray Lakers foolishly make it to the 7th seed and they get back to the 1st seed. You want the easiest road possible to the WCF and about now the Spurs are looking in trouble.

Gasol back in another 2 weeks...he'll be ready next week but we'll take extra precautions....
Gasol should be well rested and finally ready to give it his all for this final home stretch...I was very encouraged with the way we played Miami and OKC without Gasol...with him healthy and rested we should beat these teams...

Prior to this game, the Bulls were 7-10 since February 1st. They're missing two key rotation players (yeah, yeah, Gasol and Hill), and probably couldn't score 100 points if the rims were lowered to 8 feet.
But I guess since the Lakers held the Bulls to a number of points they typically give up by half time, Lakers fans are somewhat excited.

this is how I feel too, tbh... if the Lakers can make it to the 7th seed, Spurs should consider tanking tomorrow...
with Gasol in the line-up you will your pants...your regular season wins are fools gold...really all we have to do is play Kobe on WB...once we do that it's over for you guys...the reason is WB will score some points on Kobe but he cannot defend Kobe to save his life...Kobe will post him up and foul him out..in WB never has to play defense that's why he has the energy he does...no one to go back at him...in fact we will slow the game down and we will pound the post...between Gasol, Dwight, and Kobe we'll deplete your front line...

I want the Lakers in the 1st round. I think the Spurs end up finishing with the 2nd seed so I'm hoping LA gets the 7th seed, and I think they will.
IF the the Lakers somehow got the 6th seed though, they'd play the Clippers in the first round, and that'd be a great 1st round matchup.. "The Battle of Los Angeles"
Would be even more fun since I live in LA. But still, I want the Lakers in the first round.

yeah cause we've only started being great this year. Did you forget last year chump? We ran a train on you s. Should have been a sweep for all I know. Lakers are irrelevant first round fodder. Kevin is gonna show Kobe who his daddy is.
yes we did...that's when we had options...now that it's clear we have lemons...we're going to make some lemonade...see the real truth to all of this is that teams like the Lakers struggle mightily during the regular season...but once in the play-offs the stakes and intensity rises...this is a special season for us with Dr. Buss death and all...It took these guys awhile to learn and accept each other...but now it appears Dwight has fully bought into the Kobe system and he's finally ready to earn his paycheck...all I'm saying is don't be surprised when Dwight turns it on in the play-offs..you guys will be very upset and feel as if he was faking injury during the regular season...you're going to learn about this the hard way...Didn't you all want Pau to be traded when he was playing?
