Goes through top 20 but some will slide once March Madness rolls 'round.

One thats intriguing ,Rudy Gobert, 19 Y.O French kid. 7'0 footer. 7'9 arm span (unofficially, would be the longest in the NBA) He's projected to go 12th but weak draft lot of moving parts he could slide. Last Year Perry Jones was considered a late lottery pick by some but slipped to 28th. Sullinger fell to 20th, after being mentioned as a lotto pick as well.

    Shabbazz Muhammad

"Muhammad's NBA-ready body continues to appeal to scouts, who envision him developing into a Paul Pierce- or a Rudy Gay-type small forward. Muhammad can score -- albeit almost exclusively going left -- but some scouts have questioned his quickness defensively and how he will deal with savvier defenders in the NBA. "He can power past anyone," an Eastern Conference GM said. "But what happens when a Paul George or a Kawhi Leonard is in front of him? He has a lot of developing to do."

Kawhi appears to be gaining recognition as a defender.

Kawhi's reputation exceeds his actual ability
maybe because of all the Bruce comparisons and playing for the Spurs
his lateral quickness isnt great and hes not that good at staying in front of people
hes still average at dealing with screens
his biggest strengths are post defense and isolations because of his length
when he has to chase people around hes not as good

I agree. I do think he does an excellent job on Durrant though. I want him to be a little more physical with his assignments.

Why would you even compare Paul Pierce and Rudy Gay?

Leonard excels against larger wings and combo-forwards. He is by far the Spurs' best option to defend Lebron and Durant (and Kobe and Joe Johnson). But he's not as versatile as he's hyped to be -- at least not yet. He's a reason why he's not put on small twos and points, and it's not to save him for the other end.

Surely it has nothing to do with the fact that he's already playing this well at 21 years of age.

Leonard has a lot of length
hes not really an explosive or high leaper
his vert was measured at 25.5 at the combine while someone like Kidd-Gilchrist who was a similar player had a 32

Elliott was a higher leaper and a bit more explosive
Jefferson was the best athlete the spurs had at SF but they didnt ever use him as one

Similar to Sean, but longer....long arms go a long way in bball..seems to be a better ball handler to but his shot isn't as good as Sean's..not yet;-) I say "yet" because his form looks top notch(thanks chip) and I think he can get it there..

In Elliott's day, he could jump through the roof. I still remember a big 2 handed jam he had over Barkley(w/suns), on an nbc game back in the day..it's a wash with his explosion vs kawhis length I'd say...just glad to finally have another Sf...sitting here watching por and ny, thinking imagine batum in a spurs uni..he'd have Jackson's spot(and $$)..he and kawhi would be tough.

Aminu In New Orleans would be a better fit. 6'9 averaging 7pts 7.7 rpg in just 27 minutes. He's longer, taller and more athletic than Kawhi and they are the same age. Having him as a 7th man would be nice.

I remember one DUNK SEAN had against LA in his prime! I think it might be over Divac where he climbed and climbed! That Dunk was rediculous, we talked about it here all week while playing bball and this is IN VA not SA! I want to go find it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELrBX1lkN04

    GOOD LORD AT those ups.

    SICK SICK SICK

Jefferson was pussy here, he never seemed to try to fit in or slash or do what he did best! I know he was not the #1 or #2 option but he never seemed to really give it his all nor have the takeover here he could have had. He just seemed to be soft and passive.
