True . As much as I give Kubiak, alot of the time he has good reason not to let Schaub throw the ball down the field. But for now the best thing to do is to beef up the defense and make it nastier, enhance the running game by fixing the line and let Schaub have to do less.
seattle is getting better every day, now they only need a white qb![]()
I know this might be hard for you to believe, but dropping important passes at key times in playoff games prolly upsets Belichick more than the toe sex jokes.
Doubtful, imo. Especially if the receiver has the best reception per target average for the game.
Not really since Wes Welker fans are the only people who give a about stats like "receptions per target"
I like this stat
Catches to drop ratio
Welker 12:1
Amendola 22:1
we're simply getting younger and that's all that there is, there is no other discussion about why choose amendola instead of wes.. i do like amendola, but he's not as good as wes nor is he as durable as him.
I'd say the catches to drop ratio leads to plenty of discussion about why you choose amendola over welker outside of age.
Saints about to sign Steelers free agent CB Keenan Lewis per Adam Schefter
I'd say I've seen Danny make some incredible catches.
I'd also say lol sample size.

Those numbers are since 2010. They actually help Welker since this past season his ratio was 9:1 and he led the league in drops with 13. Amendola's ratio this year was 63:1.
It's not about years, it's about number of games played.
If you want to think Danny is an upgrade over Welker today, go for it. We can revisit this next January and see how it worked out for the Pats.
Why can't we get a in CB to sign. Pretty much just talib and meangelo left
Hasn't amendola missed 22 games the last 4 years?
Cause massa Snyder doesn't know how to manage the salary cap
Ravens CB Cary Williams signs with Eagles
Steven Jackson signs with Falcons
Mike Reiss from ESPN pointed out that this stat is a little biased, because Amendola and Welker both suffered a season ending injury, but Amendola's came in Week 1, and Welker's came Week 16. If the situations were reversed, not many would likely be questioning Amendola's health.
Welker 2012: 6TDs
Amendola career: 7 TDs
Upgrade!
Kenny Phillips also headed to Philly
This Welker vs. Amendola debate isn't gonna matter since Belichick isn't gonna address any needs in free agency. He still cares way too in much about finding "Good value!" and thinks that can be a subs ute for players who cost a lot but actually make a difference.
It's a move by the Patriots that makes no sense on any level unless there was some behind the scenes animosity.
There's no way it's an upgrade.
Imagine how you'd feel if Amendola didn't go to Tech.
There are some ways it makes sense even though I would have just kept Welker rather than risk Brady having to mesh with a new slot receiver. Welker's contract has more guaranteed money, Amendola is younger, bigger, and faster, and Brady hasn't developed a habit of forcing balls into good coverage when throwing to Amendola.
Kenny Phillips signed a ing one year deal with Philly. He should have been at the top of New England's list for a strong safety.
