What if there had never been any slavery? The blacks had stayed in Africa.
Just saw the SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships today on ESPN, no non black in anything under the 800m. Whoever wins the NCAA basketball Championship will be a 90% black team. What if blacks had never left Africa?
Take away them blues, jazz, soul, rap and hip hop. No Motown. As we know Jimmie Rodgers the father of country music was influensed by local blacks as was the great Hank Williams. Who doesn't know that Elvis started out covering blues tunes? Thank you Big Boy Crudup, Big Mama Thornton, Junior Parker, too bad The King never tossed some $$$$ your way. No James Brown, no Platters, Drifters, Olympics, Temps, Supremes? No Maurice Williams and The Zodiacs! No Little Willie John! No Robert Johnson....ouch!
Put the black back in Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast etc etc. Now we have an NBA made up of what? Who takes the place of this guy in the NFL....
Yes slavery in it's self was horrendous, absolutely appalling/terrible...but....those blacks here because of that situation made out big time. What does a dummy like Terrell Owens do in Namibia? Here he's a (was) multi millionaire. What do Denzel, Wesley, Samuel L. do in the Congo?
What does the USA do in the Olympics without the black athlete? We have to return to 1956 and Texan Bobby Morrow to find a non black American winning the 100/200m. That's pretty sad.
An all white NFL/NBA.....how boring would that be?

Kevin Little out of Drake is the fastest white American sprinter as far as 100m times go, he ran a 10.13. Black high school kids have ran faster than that, talk about a sad situation...........

The whole rampant black crime thing is a myth. A white guy has a greater chance of being struck by lighting than killed by a black guy.
I don't have to watch anything to know that Duke, Gonzaga, and Indiana aren't 90% black. And probably not a bunch of the other contenders either.

If we are going to talk them blues, jazz, R&B, sprinting, football, basketball, rap, soul or college marching bands we are going to be talking about blacks. Nothing racist about it at all, try....reality. It's those like you who things up. yes we are different that's why we have the different races, are you saying we pretend that isnt the case, why do we need to play that? Try talking the mafia and not mention Italians. Try talking terrorism and not mention the Middle East.

Avante, while you were gone, the race threads, the equality threads, the constant black versus white , sort of died down. The topic wasn't really brought up and everyone seemed to be pretty civil to one another. Other than the occasional 'Trill Clinton' type of comment, no one really mentioned race (he can't go five minutes without complaining about being black, so I don't count him).
So I guess my point is, ease up on it. No need to constantly bring it up. We all know, we all get it.
Just an observation anyway.
