Greg Jennings to Minnesota
That's an interesting bet...Peyton's had 3 1000-yd receivers in a season before (one of them being Stokely), but his arm was admittedly better then.
Skol Vikes!
Cheap ass Texans. What a bunch of ups. You seed the GM in the owner's plane to pick him up, wine him and dine him and give him the full court press only to let a million a year keep you from signing him?
Embarrassing.
Amendola has a better contract, he's physically superior but you're not saying they are better off.
Ok.
That post was listing reasons why it could make sense to pick Amendola over Welker.
I also explicitly said (in the post you quoted) I'd take Welker because of Amendola's injuries and the fact Welker has already developed great chemistry with Brady while Amendola is an unknown.
I'm starting to think that Ed just wants to experience what it's like to be a marquee free agent. He's been a star for a long time, but he's been under contract for six years, and he was on his rookie deal before that. Just like Ray before him, he wants to be courted by teams. I think it's Reed's preference to stay in Baltimore. The Ravens won't really have any cap room until Boldin comes back to the States, takes his physical and officially gets traded. So even if the Ravens and Reed agreed to a deal, they can't sign it until a week or so from now. Why not take advantage of the benefits of being a free agent while you can?Albert Breer @AlbertBreer
On Ed Reed, his plan is to be patient with this, as much as he can be ... No plans to visit anyone else at this point, but that could change

That being said, there's talk that the Ravens don't really want Reed back. All the movements they've made shows they aren't really concerned about keeping their core together. If that conspiracy nonsense has any merit, then that just furthers the chances of Reed playing elsewhere. There's also limited money to go around (about $9 Million in cap remaining for the Ravens), so it's hard to see how the Ravens can give Reed a good contract AND fill their holes at tackle and linebacker. Ozzie can get it done, but he may not think Ed's worth the trouble.
Adrian Wilson to NE is official....not bad i guess. Would rather see them go after Reed but oh well.
Talib re-signs with New England to a 1 year deal
some good moves from NE... now vollmer and edelman and there should still be like 10M to spend in i don't know what..
Being able to get Vollmer (hopefully) and Talib back without having to give them long term deals is huge. I see Vollmer's health being a long term problem so they have another year to develop his replacement.
Yeah, you rode the fence pretty good in that post.
it's about a 50/50 chance imo. It's also a bet that has little to do with anything here.
A bet regarding Danny's numbers makes more sense.
Not really. I clearly explained why it makes sense in several areas to choose Amendola over Welker, but then said I would have picked Welker since the chemistry he had with Brady was worth more than every reason why one would pick Amendola.
Saying stuff like Amendola costs less and has better length is simply stating fact in response to you saying there's no reason they'd choose Amendola unless it got personal with Welker.
So it's a bet you're not taking since you know Welker's numbers will take a dive without the offense and QB that made him relevant. What shocker there.
It also has plenty to do with everything here since you claim Wes Welker is an elite receiver who'll be productive wherever he goes. Obviously you don't feel too strongly about that claim.
I'd be more than willing to bet on Amendola's numbers if an injury clause that cancelled the bet was included (and I'd let you include that if you wanted to bet on Welker's numbers).
Blake you are one wicked retahded . If i wasn't so busy plowing your ex wife i'd come kick your ass Beantown style. As it is, she needs constant ings along with a lot of administering my namesake, the Boston Pancake. For the uninitiated, a Boston Pancake is when you all over some 's chest, then flatten your with your asscheeks. After that you jerk off all over your own flattened (the syrup) and spoonfeed her the and pancake with the head of your . Blake's wife loves it when the mighty Boston Pancake gives her a wicked good Boston Pancake.
Pats are cutting Brandon Lloyd.... who's Brady gonna throw to when Amendola gets hurt?
Tbh there's supposedly a high probability Lloyd is gonna re-sign but this cut is horrible if he doesn't. Even with Lloyd their receiving group was still a bunch of soft bred pussies who'd fold against a team like the 2010 Jets, 2011 Giants, or 2012 Ravens.
It's pretty simple, if they don't add a physical receiver who can make plays in tight coverage (since according to Techfan the Wes Welker superbowl drop was a historically difficult catch he would have had to make in great coverage) they're not winning another superbowl. Lloyd wasn't that receiver but he was a good 2nd option and cutting him makes their receivers suck that much more. I wish I could tell you what the plan is.
I'm anticipating another playoff loss where they score 13-17 points while the defense, after playing well in the 1st half, folds because it's been on the field with little to no rest due to a series of 3 and outs from the offense. Then after the game we'll hear about how the Patriots defense is why they lost.
I think, assuming they get Emmanuel Sanders, that the receiving crew is solid. Amendola and Hernandez in the slot, Gronk and Ballard for their 12 formation, Jones on the outside and Sanders deep. If Gronknandez is healthy we'll be fine.
They need to be wining and dining Dumervil right now tbh. I don't think old ass Freeney or Abraham will cut it. A tandem of Jones/Dumervil will be pretty damn good tho
btw Dok does Adrian Wilson still have anything?
He hasn't been the same since arizona lost antrel rolle because of how good rolle was in coverage. If mccourty can transition over to safety with a full offseason as well as rolle did then itll make wilson a lot better. He's still good at blitzing and cleaning plays up at the LOS. At the very least make it so at least someone in the secondary scares receivers.
Dumervil to meet with the Ravens next week.
Wouldn't that be something?
