playoff run!
Duncan was "vino," Kawhi is an emerging star, and the Spurs, minus Tony Parker, beat a tough Cavs team missing their best player! They only gave up 113 points at home to the worst team in the league, but that doesn't matter. A "win is a in' win."
Meh. Cavs shot ridiculouslessy well only assisting on 1/2 their baskets. Another fluke, though the trend says the OKC game was not the norm.
Seems like every team has been shooting ridiculously well against the Spurs lately.
preemptive troll thread is unnecessary.
spurs coasted to another victory without Parker per usual, but i would like to see Kawhi develop into a clutch closer.
Spurs have got to have made some sort of history the past 3 seasons. Maybe most wins that no one outside Texas cares about?
Everyone wants to make a name for themselves against the dynasty.
I'd attribute the defense or lack thereof to lack of morale and Manu struggling against PGs.
Only bright spot of this last couple weeks has been Duncan getting his early season form back. The D getting tier is pretty damn alarming.
I was hoping our defense would return after the Dallas game, but we still suck at it.
Look at ya's. This beats all I have ever seen. Each of ya's richly deserve a 14 incher.
Forgot to login to his ings account tbh
And besteva sounds like a Spurs fan. Hmmm....
Turns out Tony Parker is good at defense.
Like I've been telling moron Laker fans all week, teams readying themselves for a playoff run shouldn't be in dog fights like this with bad teams. And I disagree the Spurs are "coasting." We're about a month away from the playoffs and now is not the time to coast and develop bad habits, so I doubt Popovich would endorse such action. Furthermore, a "coasting" team doesn't play their best player, whose knee still isn't 100%, 35 minutes. The only team who has really earned the right to coast is Miami, since they're the defending champions who know what they're capable of and have that "switch." If the Spurs want to make some serious noise in the post-season, now is the time to start peaking, at least defensively, and on that end, they've been atrocious the last 5 games.
Just coasting, even Pop doesn't watch the games anymore
And that's supposed to be encouraging?
No coach worth his salt would encourage his team to "coast" at this point in the season.
I'm not gonna flip the panic switch until Tony is back, but this definitely isn't coasting. Spurs can't afford to coast fully healthy, much less when one of the Big 3 is out.
Somebody make a thread **** Official Thread for fans of teams that have not lost to the Cavs this season *****
it remains unclear where the lakers will end up at, provided that they still have a chance at the playoffs. spurs want to keep the lead in the west but they don't wanna leave OKC too far behind so that they will have the privillege to choose their opponent for the first round. spurs have lost quite some games this season which they could've won with ease, and i seriously believe they wouldve won just as many games as we have if they wanted tbh
I'm not panicking, either. But this team has a few issues to work out if they want to make a serious run at the Finals. Right now, they're playing 2nd round exit basketball on the defensive end.
What about the Wizards?
Think it might have less to do with effort and more to do with the Spurs' system getting exposed? I haven't been a true believer in the Spurs' resurgence on D, seeing as most of it has to do with Duncan playing at an elite level even for him, but I always hoped in the back of my head I was just paranoid.
