You came to the right place. This will go great in your new home.
Does anyone here own a shuffleboard table? Thinking about buying one and don't know much about them. Not looking for anything fancy, just low maintenance and something that provides at least a decent game.
Thanks in advance.

You are more than welcome to challenge us to a game.

If I owned a decent planer, I'd build one for my house...but those planers are damned expensive. Probably as much as a decent shuffleboard.
You are gonna drop at least 4K for a good one.
we have a 16 footer. my advice......don't let pigs play. the mess can be awful.
2 week old 9 footer for 485

I hear the game tables are like 5'10" this may prove challenging...not worth the cost...
DD, if you really thought that was funny, I'ma have to revoke your everything card.
Was thinking about that, but I actually like shuffleboard better. Plus for the design of the room, I think SB fits much better overall. My idea was in the game room type area along the back wall to do a mounted TV and underneath along the wall have the SB table. Then have a dartboard and my couches and such with maybe a poker table.
Eto'o - what does that mean?
sh*t, really? I don't need professional grade, just something that the very average joe would have fun on and that does not need a ton of maintenance (redoing the board, warping with weather changes...)
, check out that Austin link. Might be a steal. 9' is kind of cheesy but the price is right, Normally for a good 16-22' table used you will be looking at 4 grand plus.
No, sorry, I only play Bulletball.
I am not sure what to look for in a table. What is the best kind of wood, other options...Don't know what would fit my needs is the point I was getting at. Also, what is the size at most bars..? 9FT, 12, 16?
I just found it funny you come to ST for all your purchasing decisions. So far you haven't gotten many good responses. Before I got my ping pong table I wasn't like " I gotta ask CosmicCowboy what he thinks first!"
^ what a conversation..carry on fellas
Meh - don't come to ST for decisions - the home stuff was just asking for friendly first time advice (little things to look out for). I had already done my own major research. The shuffleboard was something random and I was hoping someone here would know a little about it.
next he'll ask for recommendations of ladders to accompany his shuffleboard table tbh.
OK, I know a little bit about them...put them in a couple of houses I built back in the day and had a mack daddy table on a ranch I leased for a few years. It's some pretty serious woodwork/planing to make a good one. Gotta be flat, flat, flat and heavy where it won't warp. Spinning a compe ion disc down 20' to get a hanger off the back end it needs to be solid, flat, and repeatable. Little magic dust, the right forward motion and spin...shuffleboard is an awesome game. Spinning and hooking in and knocking your buddies hanger off for the win is the shiznit.
summer is always a great season for him, where girls' skirts are all like umbrellas to him
^^^^Double dipping momma's Xanax again??? WTF???
I love shuffleboard, but it needs to be at least 20' long. Great game to play while drinking!![]()
