Bears at a Unesco World Heritage site in Russia have developed a taste for an unexpected substance - fuel.
Believed to be the largest brown bears in the world, they have taken to playing with discarded barrels of fuel so they can sniff them.
They take long sniffs from the barrels that hold fuel to power generators and helicopetrs at the remote Kronotsky Nature Reserve in South Kamchatka.
After having a good sniff, the bears dig shallow holes to and lie in them on their backs staring up at the sky.
Looking up also means they can see helicopters arrive with the next load of fuel and the bears have reportedly stalked the aircraft, waiting to sniff droplets of fuel left behind after take-off.
