System doing alright without Tony....
maybe it's time we let TIMVPDPOY back upstairs?
Basically the same % as the entire season.

It's going to be tough with those awful losses to Portland and Minnesota, but we still may be able to pull this off. Probably not, though. 7-5 looks easily doable, though, which isn't bad considering our best player is sitting in a suit on the sidelines.
We'll most likely be 8-2 once Tony comes back on Sunday for the Rockets game. 7-5 predictions were from those "fans" who apparently hadn't been paying attention the whole season as the Spurs won about 76% of their games even though Timmy, Manu, Kawhi etc missed multiple games each.
That was one prediction you got right.![]()
We havent been playing well at all. In truth nba teams have just collapsed. Its a pathetic league. Just look at heat or denver records in the same timeframe. I blame this solely on stern
Totally agree. Most Overrated Ever: David Stern.
capek, have you seen the last 3 games ?
vs Denver W
vs L.A. Clippers L
vs Miami L
without Tony you were expecting what ? 3-0 ?
start spinning that

We could lose all 3, win all 3 or something in-between... that's why the games are played.
Look, OKC has been slipping and they have everyone healthy... Denver has been peaking after being pretty average on the road all season long.
Miami been spotting 20+ points to teams like Boston, Cleveland... We've struggled with Cleveland and Portland then beat handily playoffs teams like OKC, Chicago, GSW...
I think a bunch of teams are simply coasting now and waiting for the playoffs. Spurs might play with a bit more urgency trying to lock in that #1 seed and make up for Tony being down, but I'm sure Pop won't hesitate to rest guys if he feels it's worth it. And we'll probably lose some of those games.
Das right!!
Seriously though, the point is that I wasn't expecting them to lose all three just because Tony's out. They'll be three tough games, each of which could go either way. Point is moot though, as it looks like Tony will come back early.
Really though it's only fake seriousness on my part, everybody's got their shtick (consciously or un-)![]()
way to take a stand there nono![]()
mad this team is still beating playoff teams with TP out
my predictions aren't , it's the NBA that sucks
crofl
yes sometimes we're wrong, but at least some of us have the balls to make predictions.
I make predictions all the time (there's even one in this very thread), and sometimes I'm wrong too...
The difference is that I don't spin it and blame thesucky NBA
when I'm wrong

Point is, Capek point of bumping thread because we lost only 2 is at best premature. I said 7 - 5 // 8 - 4 and the last three games are by far the toughest ones of that stretch. In my mind w/o TP I expected Spurs to loose 2 out of that 3. Miami (nuff said), Denver is a bad match up for us (but it's at home) and Clippers are tough meat to swallow too especially without tp slowing down cp3.
therefore the 10-2 predictions were a bit of a stretch tbh
Nevertheless, I hope we will never know because I hope tp will be back for those games
yes, I see. Your predictions are probably as spot on as your observations:

I agree 10-2 was probably a stretch, tbh... but then again, I would have to check when was the last time the Spurs lost 3 in a row at the AT&T center... I mean, the team has 4 losses total for the season right now.
@ you completely missing it was a tongue-in-cheek comment... right on that same thread a few posts later:
You know what wasn't tongue in cheek? That comment on the Spurs vs Thunder thread...
