How many MWC teams are ranked in the top 20?
If you're talking about the AP/USA polls there's only two teams in the top 25, but I predict they will go far in the tournament this year. I can see either SDSU/New Mexico/Colorado St. take it to the next level
So they aren't really the best.
Thanks
No discussion. The Big Ten is the best basketball conference this season.
Big 10 is definitely the best but the MWC should be considered no worse than 3rd in the nation right now. There is a serious lack of respect and while conferences like the Big 10 get credit for playing each other and "beating each other up" the MWC just gets on via pollsters as the same happens. Don't even get me started on projected brackets that show the Pac 12 getting more bids. that.
so, is then MWC really gonna send 5? is BSU good enough at 21-9 to get in? or do they have to win the MWC tourney?
5 getting in would just be amazing, how much do conferences get per team? $150,000? and rumors of a great Basketball/Football TV deal with ESPN looming
things are looking good for the MWC
4 are locks. Its just you guys on the bubble. I tend to think that we're not going to send 5 but its possible. Win a couple in the tourney at least and you're in.
Lunardi has Boise in right now. I agree about the MW. Great overall conference.
Congrats to Boise. They deserved to get in. Beat Creighton, lost at Michigan St by 4 points, good wins in conference.
I can't wait for the NCAA tournament. I have high hopes for New Mexico, UNLV, and possibly Colorado St. to go far in the tournament. San Diego is no sleeper either, but they haven't look that impressive in the last few weeks. Hopefully they can pick it up.
seems to me that UNLV could be a lot better if they ran plays on offense
Sorry Lobo and Rebel fans. Always sucks when teams play down in the first round. As an Arizona fan, I know this more than most.

Now it's up to the Aztecs not to screw up.

Well this sucksGood win for Colorado St. but they are most likely lose to Louisville. It's up to San Diego State, but I don't have the upmost confidence in them. in New Mexico, you're supposed to go far.
LOL New Mexico
LOL losing to a team 0-for-the-NCAAs until last night
LOL losing to the 334th best rebounding team in the country
LOL MWC hype
Imho, the best programs in the MWC going forward will be SDSU, Colorado State, and Boise (provided Eustachy and Leon Rice stick around).... those are the best-coached teams in the conference, and it's clear that UNM and UNLV are incredibly overrated....
