5-2 (71%). So far, so good.
With the depth this team has the true star of this team is the system, it was re ed to think this team wouldn't be good without Tp, yes he's the best player right now but there are many guards on the roster that can kind of make up for his absence. The one player I think the Spurs would suffer the most replacing even after all these years is still Tim Duncan, we're not deep enough on the frontcourt to make up for his absence.
I should have bet all my V-Bookie dollars!![]()
Without Timmay you are right, curtains!!!!!!!!
Now we need predictions for the next 7 games, because jesus christ it's gonna be brutal.
@Houston
vs Denver
vs Clippers
vs Heat
@Memphis
vs Magic
@ OKC
Spurs are playing 5 legit playoff teams in a row, ending with 4 games in 5 nights with both b2bs being road b2bs against Memphis and OKC. :\
Barely going to get any rest for all those tough teams.
I expect Pop to rest Tim for the MEM game and maybe even the OKC game... So those should be losses.
Heat should be a handful, but I think we'll give it a shot. Denver and Clippers at home are beatable, but depends on which Spurs team shows up. I also don't expect Pop to go with playoff kind of rotations for those games. Don't want to show your hand too early. Definitely a tough stretch here, even fully healthy.
Yeah, I think Pop is definitely going to tank that Memphis game since it's right in the middle of everything and they could be our second round opponents, but the OKC game I believe is a TNT game (Thursday). Which of course, means a huge, butthurt fine if he tanks it.
I'm going to throw out a realistic prediction and say. . .4-3. With Parker just recovering, I don't think we're going to be in perfect rhythm for all those games. Throw in the tank, and it's 4-2 besides that.
Let's not forget Denver is on a 14 game win streak right now and the Clippers are going to want to play us very hard to get some revenge. Houston is very good at home too.
Every game is going to be tough besides the Magic. I'm hoping for 4 wins so we don't just implode. But if we get 5, I'll be very pleased tbh. Especially if one of those is against OKC. That should lock up the top seed.
Parker didn't look like he missed 3 weeks, though.![]()
we still haven't been playing well. TP is back good bump tbh
Gonna go out on a limb here and say 6-1, with the lone loss being Memphis. Rockets are tough but the Spurs have beaten them three times already (tho the one game in Houston went 2 OT or some like that). Denver at home isn't as worrying, especially with 3 days rest. Clippers are fading, but considering that last asskicking they got, the Clips will come to play, as will the Spurs. Not sure if the Heat's win streak will be intact (betting on it though), but either way this will be the game the Spurs bring their A+ game and find a way to win. No one of value will go to Memphis, so this will be the lone loss. Orlando will be handled accordingly (but it'll be closer than expected), and the Spurs will roll into OKC ready to win.
If they end up 5-2, I'll also be fairly happy, but fukkit let's dream big.
Feud?
Its a stomping.

Let's lose hater and the tee hee bag Thread.
Statistically, true, but his agility looked noticably diminished. He started and stopped slower than usual. The ankle doesn't seem to be 100% yet. . .and our team really struggled to get a rhythm with him on the floor too, which is more the issue imo than Parker being able to get his. Everyone's gotta get used to him being on the court again.
lol :P Well 6-1 would be great of course, but I'm really thinking our max coming up is 5-2. You have to assume we're going to lose at least one of the games against: Heat, Thunder, Nuggets, Clippers. And Pop will be tanking the Grizzlies game. Nuggets are really good right now, though yes we have beaten them already.
Honestly I think we're beating Houston (will be very close), am hoping we win 2 of the next 3 (Nuggets, Clippers, Heat) but there's a chance we lose 2, we're tanking to Memphis, beating Magic, and hopeuflly beating the Thunder but there's a chance we drop that too since it's 4th game in 5 nights and @ OKC.
It's really looking like 4-3 to me. 5 of the next 7 games are against top 6 contending teams, and these games are packed together pretty hard. But again, if we can win 5, I'd be very happy with that. This is the worst/hardest part of our schedule this season imo.
Good prediction call by Solid D
Memphis yes, OKC no... he should rest him against the Magic instead. We need to keep that 1st seed if at all possible.
Spurs will get up to play all four of those teams. Lately the issue for the team is the real lack of motivation to play (the schedule really hasn't been rough lately and the only significant teams they've played have been OKC, Dallas, and GS). It helps they also have at least a day off between Denver, LAC, and Miami. With most of these games at home I think they'll pull out wins.
I hope so man. I'm just forseeing 2 losses in addition to the tanked loss to Memphis. We're probably going to take a hit to at least one of Miami or Denver, if not both. Then the OKC game will be at the end of a very brutal stretch of games against all 5 of the top contenders (besides us) in the NBA, all sandwiched together and on barely any rest. That could easily be a loss too.
I really don't see any more than 5 wins being possible unless we somehow win the tanked Memphis game, or this team has some huge reserves of stamina we haven't seen yet to actually play and prepare for all these games and win. I still think we'll only win 4, but we'll see
Go Spurs in any case!
, with Marc Gasol out indefinitely, they might be able to pull out the win in Memphis without Tim. The Heat game is a definite toss-up, but we'll see.
Marc Gasol is out indefinitely? Wow. . .really?
Damn, just googled that . . .abdominal tear. Too bad that Memphis game is basically a scheduled loss. If not for the terrible schedule, that'd be a W for sure without Gasol in the paint. Wish we had a rest day after that Heat game so it wasn't 3rd game against legit le contender in 4 nights and @ Memphis.
Considering the Heat game is an afternoon game it's not as taxing as regular back to backs are.
