No way man, ESPN is notoriously known for hating the Lakers. Just because they post alot about them doesn't mean they like them.
Been awhile since we've done one of these.
"Kobe's heroic effort on injured ankle not enough to power Lakers past Wizards."

Kobe makes three with 0:02 remaining, misses 7 shots in the last four minutes, Lakers lose.
Not Enough Kobe
Metta World Peace had a crucial turnover in the last few seconds of the game and the Lakers drop a key game to the Wizards. Pau Returns
You guys seriously haven't noticed that ESPN despises Kobe Bryant? There are so many times they throw him under the buss. All their analysts already say Lebron has surpassed Kobe, no one even stands up for Kobe except for Stephen A.
Yeah, and Fox News despises the Republican Party....
it's a terrible take... you run down the list of ESPN NBA guys, past and present and 98% are Kobe knobslobbers...
- Magic
- Greg Anthony
- Stephen A Smith
- Stuart Scott
- Mike Tirico
- Mark Jackson
- Jon Barry
Don't know, bro. They awarded him Player of the Decade on the basis he was a more "memorable" and "exciting" player than Tim Duncan. Stein, who wrote the article, didn't even attempt a thorough examination of each player. His reasoning was that when you look back on the 00's, you'll remember Bryant over Duncan or O'Neal. Granted, that's true, but it illustrates how ESPN favors style above all else. And no player was more highlight friendly, salable, and thus, "memorable" in the 00s than Kobe Bryant.
In ESPN logic,
