I hope he likes it here.

People on SA a lot on here. only problems I have with it is the heat and humidity, but you can say that for most of the South or Southeast. I'd rather live in SA or Austin than Houston or New Orleans.

if Kawhi were to leave, that would suck but as long as he doesn't go to the Lakers I could accept it.
San Antonio born and raised. I have a few issues with San Antonio.....

the people in charge are ass backwards thinking, they are afraid of progress. There is no reason why we can't modernize the city more, and still keep the old rustic feel....just use the old style architecture, but with all the up to date amenities.

instead of shutting down the expressways all day, why not be like other big cities and do a lot of the construction and street sweeping at night.

I love how we are pretty much safe from most natural disasters. We dont have to worry about Volcanic eruptions, landslides, hurricanes, and for the most part, tornadoes and earthquakes. We do have to deal with flooding, drought, and wildfires though.

I don't like how overcrowded the city has become......maybe because the ass backwards people in charge didnt prepare the city for the massive growth spurt. We build tons of residential areas, but we neglect the roads until traffic is a complete nightmare.

There is no excuse to not having a NFL and/or MLB franchise.

There is no excuse for not already having the ASA (Austin/San Antonio) Metroplex. If we would have done this already, we would most likely have a NFL and/or MLB team. Also, we could have built a better international airport on par with the one in DFW.

I hate the humidity, mosquitos, constant change in weather, and the allergies....but that is everywhere in the south.

Aside from this.....I love the city. I love the food (and it is inexpensive with large portions for the most part). I love the Spurs. I love that I can see all my Spurs, Cowboys, and Longhorns games. I love how much the people in this city give back to those who are less fortunate. I love the tower and the riverwalk. I love the military history of our city.

I just spoke with San Antonians, the humidity, the weather, and the allergies about your complaints. They told me they are working on a pussy-ass **** hotline as fast as they can.

Kawhi is an enigma. I don't know how you can avoid eating breakfast tacos, i imagine they are as popular in Cali as they are here.
I've lived everywhere and SATown is the only place they are so popular.

And I have a crush on that chick in the Taco Cabana commercial.

I love this city, it grows on you and I wouldn't want to raise a family anywhere else. The Spurs organization will grow on him especially the loyalty they have and what the community does so I doubt Kawhi will go anywhere. And the TC girl is Anjelah Johnson, former Raiderette

Jeremy Castleberry, a walk-on guard at SDSU and Leonard’s best friend from King High in Riverside, flew to San Antonio last week for a visit during a Spurs homestand, tagging along to practices and games. One night, the house started to shake upstairs.

“I hear all this rumbling and crashing around,” Robertson says. “It was like there was a game going on up there.”

There was. Castleberry and Leonard – NBA rookie, member of the four-time champion San Antonio Spurs – were playing on a mini 6-foot hoop with a mini plastic basketball.

Says Robertson: “I said, ‘Kawhi, for real?’”
    LOL

it never bothered me until i wanted to eat a chili dog at 7 am and you can only buy eggs, bacon, or some variety thereof

this is why i love sonic
yeah! FULL MENU SERVED ALL DAY, es! Going there now, methinks...

I like this city too, however we're just ordinary people. When you're making millions like the average nba player and have money to blow its different, they can do whatever they want in a city. Our night life, restaurants, entertainment, media coverage etc. isn't on par with a place such as Miami, Orlando, NY, LA, etc.

I think that's a big reason why a lot of guys don't want to come here.

good points. I only lived there as a kid and visited on and off for years. The last time I visited, the traffic was brutal, but so is Austin. Both cities have had a bipolar reaction to growth, it's like they wanted to keep the old school feel, which I totally respect, yet also kept on wanting companies to relocate there, which leads to insane growth.

so that aspect sucks. I like the history and heritage of SA quite a bit, it's Spanish/Mexican background. That doesn't mean I want it to be overrun with illegals though.

My biggest problem is what you mentioned above, I'm just not a fan of humidity, big ass roaches you find in the South. But least SA does have some interesting weather and not always humid and tropical like Houston. Most of my problems with this region are more applicable to the Southeast in general, but like you said that's everywhere in this part of the country.

I see this as a common complaint. I think the Spurs try their best to avoid the JR Smith types who need to party up all the time. and if you're in the mood to party and SA isnt' cutting it, Austin is like an hour away.

Maybe this area doesn't have the black party scene that you find in Miami, ATL etc, but there's still lot of entertainment between here and Austin. In that regard we won't ever be able to compete with some of the bigger cities, but it's not like this is Sacramento, Milwaukee etc...

I'm glad Kawhi has self-control when it comes to eating habits. The last thing I would want is the future of the spurs to end up like Blair, subsisting on whataburgers and breakfast tacos.
