Would be a great backup to Leonard. Good defender, mediocre outside shooter, but certainly not bad. Would most likely command $4-5 million in the open market, if you ask me.

He can't shoot but some practices with Chip could fix that IMO. Listed at 6'9" so you can throw him against the Durants of the league. Pretty athletic too.

I love him just for the dunk he pulled on Fisher. Nasty .

He would be a very good backup SF. Great size, very athletic. Not a great shooter, but I trust chip to improve his 3p shooting at least.

High as on this kid. However, with Leonard and Green locking down the starting spots, it may not make sense to give him an offer Denver wouldn't match. Even with their contract issues, I think they'll try to keep him.

He would be an excellent fit. His strength is perimeter defense and attacking the basket. Yet, he has stated that he would rather stay with the Nuggets.

As good as he is, he isn't what Spurs will need because he isn't a good shooter.

Neither is Jack. And RJ was a pretty good shooter. How did that turn out?

Aside of the OKC series, where he was shooting very well, Jack has been bad in his second stint with Spurs.

I would assume that he only leaves Denver to maximize his contract or to get a starting position, or both. The Spurs can't offer a starting position and won't be the top bidder for his services.

There is a article in the express news today that Brewer was about to choose the Spurs over the Mavs and Celtics back in 2011, but a last minute deal from Dallas guaranteeing a 3 year contract was the deciding factor.

He is a SF that you can play at the 2 spot when needed, has the footspeed (I like SJAX but he can't do that anymore) he would help when Spurs go small as well.

He's going to get a good contract. I don't think the Spurs would want to offer what he's going to get.

How much do you think he's going to get in this new NBA world? Teams aren't spending like they used to, he can't shoot, and most teams don't value defense at all. , he'd be a Spur right now if Cuban didn't have such a ing hard on for SA.

Still wouldn't be upset if he signed with Spurs

"It came down to San Antonio, Dallas or Boston — those were my three choices. I almost came (to San Antonio), I'm not going to lie," he said. "One more day and I would have come here. Dallas gave me a three-year deal."

Nope. I like him. He's too skinny to be a combo-forward, despite his height, but if he can learn to shoot more consistently, he'd be a great backup to Leonard.

He brings great energy and defense even when he's not shooting it very well. I would take him.

Dallas screwed you Corey! Not only did they accomplish from stopping you from signing with the Spurs but they also traded your ass. I hope you have a new agent that will help you make better decisions this time around. If Pop calls you and wants you to come to San Antonio, you come.

He got a ring and a nice contract from Dallas. He got a lot of playing time in Denver that will let him get an even better contract. I doubt he really regrets it.

Personally I think not signing Brewer back in 2011 was a blessing in disguise, because I don't think we would of tried to trade for Leonard as we would of had Jefferson & Brewer at small forwards. Now I wouldn't mind Brewer he is not a great shooter, but a pretty good defender and slasher.
