That's how much respect Manu Ginobili gets, hes 35 years out of his prime and out of all the players on that list he is playing the worst basketball RIGHT NOW
http://nba.si.com/2013/03/22/nba-sho...?sct=uk_t11_a2
10. Monte Ellis
9. Kevin Martin
8. J.J Re
7. Jamal Crawford
6. Joe Johnson
5. Manu Ginobili
4. Andre Iguodala
3. James Harden
2. Dwayne Wade
1. Kobe Bryant
Re was kind of a surprise. But I guess it makes sense. Overall the list sounds about right. Your Thoughts?

The haters will say Manu shouldn't be on it, but that seems okay to me.
Sounds right.
The SG spot is so weak in the NBA right now.
Not sure I'd put Iguodala above him, but whatever.
OJ Mayo should be on this now that I think of it, what the
I thought Iggy was more of a SF...
His end-of-game performances this season have been atrocious
K-Mart.. hardly even deserves to be on the list
so truechoking
He's better than JJ Re ...and don't tell me he isn't lol
Manu's not rated too high. Kobe should be behind Wade and Harden.

By talking practice ASPM/RAPM model(Scanning through list , looking for SG's)
Wade
Harden
Iggy
Bryant
Manu
Jared Dudley
Tony Allen
Danny Green
Joe Johnson
Wes Matthews
Basically, SG is not exactly a position of strength in the NBA.
As Jester and Bruno said, SG is weak at the moment, it's probably the weakest position in the NBA, tbh..
Iguodala and current Manu should not be in the top 5 at any position, and a guy like Re should not be in the top 10..
Wade/Harden/Kobe is difficult to rank..Kobe is by far the worst defensive player of the three, and Harden is also poor defensively, while Wade has been an elite defender since returning from injury and beginning Miami's streak..
Offensively, Wade has been the worst of the 3 and coasted the 1st half of the season, and he also plays behind Lebron, obviously..
I'd go 1. Wade 2. Kobe 3. Harden, at least until Harden proves himself as a #1 in the playoffs..
SG isn't great probably because the league has moved on from "next Jordan" wannabes to their variation of Magic/Bird; that and teams load up on fast PGs and therefore SGs just have to be the 3s and D variety.
To me, Manu seems a lil high on the list tbh
I think the two best players in the league are shooting guards. The just aren't listed as shooting guards.
18 posts in and I'm the first person to call out Kobe Bryant being at #1? Just choosing from the 10 in the list, I'd go:
1. James Harden
2. Dwyane Wade
3. Kobe Bryant
4. Manu Ginobili
<big drop>
5. Andre Iguodala
<big drop>
6. Kevin Martin
7-9. Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, JJ Re indistinguishable
<big drop>
10. Monta Ellis
Actually, you're the 4th.
I'd consider DeMar DeRozan and Klay Thompson before I would Kevin Martin. Thompson is a much better defender. His problem is he is just still a bit green.
The big drop occurs after #3 tbh. And I'm a huge Manu fan.
He's the SG on this Denver team. Gallinari is the SF.
Oops, must've not scrolled all the way down or something.
Before Kevin Martin? I wouldn't put either of those two in the top 10, and I don't think of Thompson as a particularly good defender (though neither do I of Martin). Martin brings a LOT of offense while being adequate on defense... the other two bring adequate offense along with adequate defense.
Iguodala guards Lebron, he is the SF.
