    Olympus Has Fallen - 6/10

It's a Die Hard ripoff, but it has its moments. There are definitely some problems with the movie. Not a bad watch if you have nothing else to do.

    Finally watched Skyfall

    9/10

    I liked it TBH

But is it just me or did Mendes watch the Dark Knight trilogy before making this movie ?
If you ask me, the stakes weren't high enough in skyfall. In the end it was just about killing "M".

The film was well done, action scenes, look etc all very good, but for me the stakes weren't high enough.

    6/10 tbh.

Btw, in which order should I watch the following movies:
    - the usual suspects
    - the silence of the lambs
    - seven

I think I'm starting with "even", then move on to "the usual suspects" and have a grand finale with "the silence of the lambs".

True. Especially when Amon Göth took over, it's like "what was all the fuss over when we had such an awesome guy waiting to take the role of M?" I mean, she ended up dying anyways .... Come to think of it, all of the Craig Bond movies have had really ty evil plots. Why not let the local police take care of it?

Are you wanting to watch the best one first? Or save it for last?

I was thinking about watching "the usual suspects" first, then "seven" and "silence" as the last one because I thought I could watch pre- and sequel as well but I threw that idea. So I made up my mind and will watch them in ascending order:
    1. suspects
    2. silence
    3. seven

Zero Dark Thirty 8.8/10 A lot better than Argo - well done and seemed to have the "first person" accounts down pretty accurately.

    Great movie
Same! Great movie and loved how it's set up as a high paced action flick but does a complete 180. If you're a fan of Jake acting, check this video out. Great song, imho, but Jake does a great job if American Pscyho 3 ever comes out.

End of watch: 6/10, movie was laying on the nonchalant heroism thing a little thick. by the time it got to the fire and the human trafficking scenes I was just rolling my eyes. but the 2 lead actors were pretty good together, made it enjoyable anyways.

Argo: 6/10, good job maximizing the drama and tension at every possible turn, other than that, not much there.

    Safety Not Guaranteed 6/10

The whole premise is about time travel but you dont see any of it until the last minute of the movie, instead you get some lame romantic story for an hour and 24 minutes.

Annette Bening? Agreed, sole redeeming aspect of the movie. If you liked her in Bugsy, you might want to see her in The Grifters, in which she lets it all hang out.
Yep, Grifters is a good film. Cusack at prime there, still a boy and it lights the film. Bening has some girl left in her still so it's nice.

Pat Hingle has a plum role and he uses it. It chugs a little on toward the end, but, still enjoyable.

    Detachment 6/10

This movie is just too depressing. How it got the go-ahead its beyond words.

Basically a movie telling you suicide is an option. Adrien Brody loves this kinds of movies because he's in tons of them.

    Killing Them Softly

    7.9/10

I thought some parts were just self-indulgent director jerk-off moments....but then the next scene or the next dialogue bit was in' awesome and I started thinking this might just be a mob cult classic someday (in the Tarantino league) ...then the director would jerk-off again....

Some parts were amazing - so it was worth the time - but you have to humor the director when he falls in love with himself here and there.

I watched a dog the other nite I picked up at Goodwill: "The Brown Bunny." It's Vincent Gallo's production and he did everything, but, sweep up. I got half way thru and fell asleep. I'm gonna finish it, but, it's gonna be a challenge. The ending is supposed to be legendary so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
